30 Painfully Relatable Boss Comics That Most People Working In An Office Will Relate To (New Pics)
Alexandr Dyakov, the creator of Sova the Boss comics, has been really busy since the last time we wrote about the series, so we decided to release an update on his work. After all, there have been quite a few changes in the owl's life!
"Just like any living intelligent creature, she has to progress," Dyakov told Bored Panda. "At first, Sova was single, but eventually she got a husband and they are bringing up a cute baby now." Sova is constantly improving her professional skills, too.
"She is kind of this aggregated image, reflecting features of different modern managers and bosses of any sex, race and sexual orientation. Each time I post a new comic, Sova gets either a new feature or develops some skill."
However, that doesn't mean the owl has become an all-knowing, fully self-aware being. She still makes very (and I mean very) questionable decisions when running her forest slash company.

Currently, Dyakov works in purchasing and does not to be in the office all the time. Making comics is his side gig that brings in a little bit of money as well. Enough for the artist to pay a few bills each month. "Maybe it is possible to generate more income from it but creating the series, most of all, is a way for me to express myself. I am glad I am able to tell stories and don't really think about selling them."
"Some of my colleagues follow the series without knowing I am the author. A few of my friends are the same, too," Dyakov said. "I don't really care about likes. The most important thing for me is that both people I know and complete strangers relate to real-life situations in the comics even if they are a bit exaggerated. If my works stir up someone's feelings -- either positive or negative -- I view it as a success."
Interestingly, an ex-colleagues of Dyakov showed some of the comics to his ex-superior. "He thought some of the strips were funny until somebody pointed out that he sometimes acts exactly like Sova."
They left out the part where the owl gets a 25% raise and the CEO collects his $1 million bonus.
The boss was in disguise, you can see the disguise on the floor in the 3rd and 4th panels.
I’ve seen this before on Brain games. The experiment was that a small popcorn costed like 3 and a large was 7, so more people bought the small but when they added a medium for 6.50, more people bought the large. It’s called the Decoy Effect, or adding a “decoy” to get people to choose x over y.
See, this is why you don't take commissions that ask you to do the art, then they pay you.

So not only did the cheetah steal it, but also the insurance didn't even cover the cost of the phone!
And that's why Fakebook wants your telephone number "to secure the safety of your account".
A new highway shortcut was built on a route I often traveled but the GPS wasn't updated to include it. The little car icon looked like it was traveling in the air and the GPS kept yelling "Turn around, Turn Around , Turn around ." The machine actually sounded like it was in panic mode.
