I Captured My Friend Giving Birth All Naturally In Water At Home

When my friend and fellow photographer told me she was planning a home birth, I knew I had to be the one to capture it… I’m Kathy Rosario of K Ro Photography and babies are what I live for!

To me, there is nothing more amazing than watching a woman give birth, and when it’s in the comfort of her own home it feels even more special. It was pure bliss and tranquility as we awaited for the baby’s arrival. I have photographed quite a few births already, but nothing quiet compared to the serenity of a home water birth!

Mothers are the most amazing beings on Earth! Look at the priceless photos for yourself and see how incredible the human body can be!

Time to have a baby!

Here you can see how she prepares for her home water birth by getting into the tub and breathing through her contractions.

Moments before birth

Contractions are coming on strong and laboraid popsicles are all she needs! She made them herself :)

That moment…

Baby’s first breaths of life, as mommy pulls her out into the world!

It’s a GIRL!!!

Mommy just found out she had a girl, after having 2 boys! Pure bliss.

I had my last baby 43 years ago. We never thought much of water births then as it was all a "medical treatment" in a hospital with a doctor and nurses. But how POWERFUL this is! How wonderful that the mother can bond instantly, that it doesn't have to be a "procedure," and that this woman could sit up and be natural instead of flat on her back with her feet in stirrups. Thank you for helping to point the way with this truly marvelous story.

I'm sure your kids turned out just fine... its the raising them afterwards that is important.

I Loved it, amazing way to come to this world, from water in the belly to water in the bathtub, this is the most natural and the less stressing way for the baby.

It is not the most natural and less stressful way to have a baby. Humans are land based mammals and no land based mammals gives birth int he water. Also, the baby is blue in all the pictures. There is nothing normal about it.

This is awesome! Congratulations on the girl! I don't think a lot of people realize what babies really look like right after they are born.

Both of my births were the worse experiences of my entire life; the second even worse than the first. If the pain wasn't bad enough (& it was excruciating as they were both lying with their backs against all the nerves in my spine) the treatment I had at the hands of some of the staff was diabolical. My needs were not considered at all & my husband was treated better than I was! When it was my daughter's turn to give birth I couldn't get over the difference between her first experience & mine. Epidural, privacy, cosy & non threatening room & a kind midwife. I had none of that. This is how it should be done.

I feel what you are saying. My first baby was bigger than anticipated, and should have been born with C- Section. He was stuck in the birth canal for so long , his face was flattened for a couple of days.

"I wanted to thank you Eka for this wonderful you have done in my marital life. After years of trying to conceive and a failed IVF and a failed FET, I ordered your Pregnancy spell. According to my infertility doctor it was "very unlikely" that I could be pregnant with my own eggs. But here I am, pregnant for the first time in life. I got pregnant naturally just 2 months after my failed FET and after following your instructions. I am now 7 month pregnant. I am spreading this miracle story to whomever I meet and who suffers from infertility. Contact Eka on (dreka14demons@gmail.com) Kind regards and thank you,

Everyone here is so bothered. How can even some of you talk about "babies spending more time in hospitals"? As long as the mother is happy with a healthy child and the child does just fine, i think none of us has any business here except just liking the post or not liking it.

I Think the baby should be dried off and wrapped in a blanky after it is born. It looks like it would be cold. Baby's hair is still soaking wet when she is breast feeding. I was in labour for 36 hours; think my butt would get pretty sore sitting in a hard tub for that long. Not for me, however, I didn't like the way my baby was whisked away to the nursery as soon as it was born. I think it should be left with the mother to bond.

So... no father in the picture? Or another case of irresponsibility with "single motherhood" ... BTW this isn't powerful or amazing, if it was 3000 years and she was an Incas woman and did this in a cornfield and then right back to picking corn & the baby survived, maybe.

Just because you don't see the father doesn't mean he isn't there. He is probably hugging a toilet. LOL You really shouldn't live in such a negative mind frame all the time.
