Culture: 'Vasile Oanea' By Alex Robciuc, Romania
His whole life lived here.In a traditional wooden house from Maramures county, Romania, in the picturesque village of Breb. He is strongly rooted in the ancestral Maramures, but he has not given up on the benefits of the 21st century technology, combining in an original way the traditional Maramures lifestyle with accents of a poet, writer or a modern journalist, surrounded by laptops, printers, video cameras or digital cameras. Vasile is a creative person, he writes his thoughts in verses. He is also a journalist of the village when he is recording various moments happened there as pictures and videos. The photo depicts Vasile, after he told me his emotional life story.

It should say "Death on the Sea" since those are fishing nets that kill thousands of species..not just the species these fisherman are looking for. The list includes whales, turtles, sharks and porpoises. Fishing nets need to be outlawed.

Life is short. We can enjoy it all, award winning photography and goofy adorable cats.
