Being a parent can sometimes be stressful. The best thing to do is look for humor in the little things to help maintain some sanity. Here are a few comics illustrating some of the shared experiences of parents all over the world!

My dad would always let me do stuff my mom wouldn't. Eat candy and junk food, read books when I was eating, walk on the wall at the park that was only 2 feet high on one side but had a 12 foot drop on the other...

I've always enjoyed making comics, but becoming a parent gave me more inspiration than I could have imagined. Being able to channel my creativity this way has helped me with all the ups and downs that have come with the change of becoming a parent. That said, I love being a mom! It is just the craziest experience, and sometimes I can't believe I made a whole person. When I'm not making comics, I enjoy playing video games, working out, and gardening.

Got one big one who chatters incessantly and one little one who wordlessly yells at me to be fed.

Since my last post, my kid got older. It's funny how each new stage brings new inspiration. I've actually shifted a bit away from comics focusing on things he says and does and more about my reactions and experiences. I want to make sure I respect his privacy and be mindful of what I'm sharing since some of my comics are seen by thousands and, in some comics, millions of people.

Making comics helps influence me into being a more mindful and present mom. Being able to process some of the things in my life through art makes things a little easier. It also allows me to be creative. As an artist, it can sometimes be difficult to find inspiration to make what I would call "real" art, but making comics really scratches the creative itch.

Even though I share my comics on social media, I have an entire book of comics that are just for my son. These are more personal, sentimental comics, and I plan on giving him the book one day when he's older. Along with that, I've actually kept a diary since I was around 18 weeks pregnant. I thought it would be neat for him to get to know me a little better and get an idea of what was going on in the world before he was able to be aware of it.

That’s how my toddler sister says fork… when she drops her fork, she says “OH NO! FORK!” But not…

My plans for 2023 include pushing myself outside my comfort zone. I'm afraid of failure, isn't everyone? But I want to keep trying to network and grow my audience and create an even more connected parenting community.

Thanks for checking my post! I love seeing people connect with my experiences and with one another, being a parent is really hard, and you aren't alone! Please feel free to also follow me on Facebook and consider supporting me on Patreon, where I will be sharing exclusive content.

My high school ceramics teacher had an answer for everything. I said that I like making bumpy pots, it's artistic. He told me about an African tribe that does this because they like the way it looks too. So as soon as I make appt without bumps to show I can do it, I'm welcome to make the rest bumpy.

The old playhouse at my grandmas house was just like this.Every year when we visited her, I would clean it, and develop Arachnophobia.

As someone who was raised entirely on original Grimm's fairytales and did not see any disney princess movies until i was a teenager, I approve of this.

Here we see the wild species, widely known as "toddlers", shredding their mortal enemy in the wild, the "pinata". Notice the xanthotrichous toddler wildly swinging a makeshift tool at its enemy, successfully rendering it dead. Watch as the toddlers feast on the innards of their prey, each toddler scrambling to get the most out of the kill. What's this? It seems the xanthotrichous toddler is wearing the remains of its kill, how brutal...well, that's all for this episode of Wild Child documentaries. We hope to see you in the next episode, until then, farewell.
