Snoop Dogg has swooped in to back Kanye West in his high-stakes sneaker showdown with Adidas over Yeezys.
The Drop It Like It’s Hot rapper’s support of Kanye comes as the German-based apparel giant is rolling out its third sale of the Yeezy sneakers it was left with since cutting ties with Kanye.
Snoop had commented on a post where Kanye was captured talking about Adidas “not paying [him] and suing [him] at the same time.”
“Speak ya truth,” Snoop wrote in the comments section of Kanye’s post.

Kanye later took a moment to publicly appreciate Snoop’s show of solidarity and shared a screenshot of his comment.
“Thank you everybody for supporting me on this fight with adidas Thank you Snoop and thank you to all my fans Your words are making a difference right now,” read the caption.
Snoop shared the very same post on his timeline as well.
The backing from fellow rapper Snoop arrived shortly after Kanye unleashed a tirade on Instagram, criticizing the shoe and sports apparel maker for selling the Yeezy line without paying him.
“Anybody who loves Ye would not buy these fake Yeezys I never made these color ways I’m not getting paid off of them and adidas is suing me,” Kanye wrote in the caption alongside a screenshot of the footwear’s photo.

It was in October 2022 when Adidas severed ties with Kanye over his antisemitic comments and hateful remarks that sparked widespread criticism.
After terminating their partnership with Kanye, Adidas was left with 1.2 billion euros (about $1.3 billion) worth of unsold Yeezys, according to Fortune.

Adidas sold 750 million euros (about $814 million) worth of the shoes in two batches earlier, while their latest sale, announced by the company on Monday, is the third.
The company previously said that part of the proceeds from the sale of the leftover Yeezys would be donated to groups fighting antisemitism and other forms of hate.
While Adidas had filed a private arbitration case against West’s Yeezy LLC in December 2022, it is currently unclear if the company has filed any kind of lawsuit against the rapper.
