Macro photography is something I enjoy doing in my free time. I work as a children photographer for almost 8 years and I love it.
I have always loved capturing the beauty of nature, especially in the small things.

Gorgeous photo. It looks like a painting. I love the richness of the color. How are you getting this effect? Do you use a filter in photoshop?
Thank you Catherine! I use "oil paint" filter to make them look like a painting. Glad you like it!
Load More Replies...I would love to have seen this before you used the oil paint effect. I'm fairly certain that the flower is a type of Purple Coneflower, or Echinacea purpurea (at least a relative,) and while hybridization has resulted in some extremely beautiful and brilliant colors, the addition of the very Disney-like raindrops makes the image even less real. Macro photography is a great talent, requiring much patience and practice. I believe that if you continue to perfect it without the use of any effects you'll find that you really don't need them. Best wishes!

I love the contrast of the abstract lichen and the symmetry of the flower. The colors are marvelous together! What is the blue flower, please, Dina, and where is it growing? Thanks.
This is the most beautiful. Looks like the flowers growing from another universe.
I love that it's so simple. In my opinion, simplicity is the greatest beauty.
Your work has inspired me. Thank-you! I'm ready to pull out my macro lens!
I love that the hairs on the stems are visible. I think you should concentrate on work in with the macro lens and less with the special effects. Just my opinion, of course. Best Wishes!
Thank you dear Elina, I took these pictures in my garden. Some where taken while traveling :)
