There’s nothing romantic about a morning cigarette with a cup of coffee after coughing your lungs out. And even though cigarette smoking among U.S. adults (aged 18 and over) declined from 20.9 percent in 2005 to 15.5 percent in 2016, that means nearly 38 million American adults still smoke “every day” or “some days”, according to data released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Powerful anti-smoking ads may have played a role in this decline, however, sometimes individual efforts can be just as effective. Recently, someone on tumblr tried to glorify cigarettes, so another user stepped in to share their take on it, and it’s so vivid it might change your perspective. My father smoked up until the day he died. When I gave to my first daughter the Midwife asked me if I smoked as I had a smokers placenta. I don't smoke and don't hang out around people who do. Yet I was still affected years after leaving home.

Smoking gave me a heart attack at age 31... The arteries are clogged too much due to continuous smoking since age 17...i only smoked with my friends to look cool and i didn't get any kick from it like alcohol... Later on it became a compulsory addiction... Just stop it guys, now it's been 5yrs straight and even a smell from others smoking makes me repel and puke...i would be dead by now if i didn't stop.. My daughter was 1 yr old when i got the attack...i got to see her smile everyday now.. My lungs and body thank me so much.... Pls leave that s**t.... It's not worth it at all...

I smoke and I tried to quit, I tried Chantix, but I had almost every side effects and I was goign crazy and I was sick all the time. It wasnt for me, I tried the gum, it released to much nicotine and made me puke, I tried the patch, nope, no go either. We all know it's dumb, that it stinks and that we shouldnt do it but it's an addiction (just like alcoholics, or drug addicts, they are addicted) it's not just a habit. We try, we fail, we try again... There is nothing glorified about smoking, just like there is nothing wonderful about being an alcoholic or a drug addict.
