Grilled Cheese Cooked In A Waffle Iron (The Holes Hold Extra Soup)
I have taught cooking classes centered on Things You Can Cook With a Waffle Iron. Grilled cheese, panini, hash browns, brownie, calzones, quesadillas...you’d be surprised how many tasty things you can make with this one little gadget!
Wait, what? I'm fascinated by this. Must go home now and try it.......
Load More Replies...oh now you've gone and done it. I need tomato soup and grilled cheese....... NOW!
It does not only look to have a nice taste, it looks to be extremely healthy /mode irony=off
I don't like tomato soup but I love to dip grilled cheese in other soups and even applesauce.
love dunking in my soup. Fried bread in a little olive oil till just crisp is delish!
You can also try using two leftover waffles to make a delicious grilled cheese sandwich by putting cheese in the middle of testing it, it's actually really delicious!
Might want to let people know that it's a grilled cheese sandwich and not just grilled cheese. Some aren't familiar with the concept.
That's thoroughly disgusting. I mean, you could eat it, but I wouldn't call it food.
A good grilled cheese sandwich is a work of art, and pairing it with tomato soup is so common in Canada you can order it in any diner and cafe from Newfoundland to British Columbia. It’s comfort food at its finest.

Leftover rice? Make arancini (just google it). Leftover wine or broth? Freeze it in an ice cube tray and use it whever you want to improve a dish. Making beef casserole? Add a tomato. It will make your meat more tender. Used too much salt? Add a boiled potato. It will balance the flavor. Use lemon zeste. Improves almost anything.
I learned bread in a different traditoin: Water, salt, yeast, flour. If you add sugar/oil etc., you're getting into enriched breads. Of course, I have three strains of sourdough in my kitchen, one based on potato, one on barley, one on whole grains of wheat. Lovely subtleties.

Load More Replies...i like this article! A lot of cooking hacks i see on other sites are super pointless or make cooking even harder than the original method
Use the bagel setting on your toaster to toast hamburger buns for crunchy inner but a soft outer, making no crumbs. Works on the BBQ too, but butter the inside so it picks up residual flavours from the grates; 45 seconds does it.
2 cups Flour and 1 cup plain Greek yogurt and 2 tablespoons baking powder pinch of salt make great bagels. Mix dough cook for 25 mins 425. I stuff mine w cheese or meat. Egg wash and everything but the bagel seasoning. Also make w chocolate chips stuffed w chocolate or cinnamon raisin. You can shape into balls or bagels.
A lot of these are really cool, but some are just "read this poster." Things like using an old ketchup bottle to store batter - now *that's* a hack! Inventive, useful, and saves money.
