    Even the most self-worshipping libertarian "self-made man" (and it is usually a man) has benefitted from the language and cultural/conceptual/ideological inheritance of their precedessors; from the womb of their mother; from the efforts and (hopefully) compassion of their parents; from a pre-existing material infrastructure of roads, sewers, electrical grids; from a social infrastructure that makes it highly unlikely we will be murdered by someone who dislikes us or sees benefit from taking our stuff. I may not "owe EVERYone for EVERYthing", but that sweeping generalisation is closer to the truth than "I don't owe anyone anything", even if I was Elon Musk himself. Without the social co-operation which has built societies, then nations, then a (relatively) open international community, even a Very Stable Genius would be a poverty-ridden cave-dweller, worrying about whether someone was going to steal his spear every time he went to sleep.

    I was shocked to discover that anger is actually a positive emotion meant to protect us. In my language, angry and bad is the same word, hence the confusion plus I was always criticised for getting angry when I was abused. I told all that to a therapist and she didn't believe me. She said several times in a condescending tone that I have too much anger. Much more by being treated like a problem.
