toilet seat covers you find in most public bathrooms do the same thing. i've been using them for years. i cut them into the proper-size pieces for my purse, but usually, i just take the whole thing and press it onto my face. (be sure to not take the first couple of ones in the dispenser, tho, for obvious reasons. go back to the 4th or 5th one or so.)

Put petroleum jelly on the cradle cap; let set for a few minutes. Baby brush the area. Comes right off.
