Woman Is Sick Of Neighbor’s Kids, Creates A Plan That Leaves Them “Traumatized To Go Outside”
Neighbors can really make or break a living experience. Some are loud, rude and downright dangerous, while others can be helpful and downright wholesome. However, sometimes the folks next door can be so intolerable that one has to take matters into their own hands.
A young woman wondered if she was wrong to make posters of her neighbors’ annoying kids that would damage her packages and hammer on her door. As it turns out, their mom, who would never stop them, hated her bit of revenge. We reached out to the teen who made the post via private message and will update the article when she gets back to us.
It’s often best to speak to the parents of annoying kids

But one teen had to devise a more complicated scheme when her neighbors kept destroying her parcels

Some parents truly do not care what their kids get up to

It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone what, quite often, terrible children are, surprise, surprise, the result of bad parents. Case in point, the mom in this story who can’t seem to comprehend the fact that her kids being “humiliated” is the best case scenario when the young woman has video evidence of their misbehavior.
We don’t have a lot of details, but this mom does seem like what some might describe as an “indulgent” parent, since she seems willing to overlook literal property damage. Indeed, not only is she downright passive, she seems to want to gaslight someone that a “little” damage to her door is actually ok.
Of course, this act is dropped the second her kids feel the smallest amount of consequences. One comment (who voted YTA) argued that the young woman “doxed” the kids, but this is ridiculous, given that the entire neighborhood already knows what they look like, since they’ve been going around harassing people.
Indeed, there is a fine line between being “indulgent” and just indifferent. Because at some point, these kids are going to get into real trouble. The young woman didn’t want to involve the police, but what if they had destroyed a package of another neighbor containing something valuable?
Being selfish and entitled is just shortsighted

A few people might argue that allowing them to be a menace (and get punished for it) is the best way for them to learn a lesson, but the fact that the mother is so angry, to the point that she will curse out a teen, means that this isn’t some experiment in individualism. Indeed, the only explanation is that she is just a nasty entitled person, seeing as multiple people have already complained to her.
This is perhaps why one of the top comments (more of which can be found below) speculates that now the mom was forced to be around her horrible children since, reportedly, they don’t want to go outside. Perhaps, for her own sanity, she will actually discipline them. After all, in the long run they will do more damage and get them all in more serious trouble.
This sort of blatant disregard for other’s comfort and possessions is, sadly, pretty normal for a certain kind of entitled person. They simply can’t see the world beyond their own comfort. While one can argue that there is a sort of selfish logic to this, it’s pretty easy to see how this mindset and horrible children aren’t actually compatible.
After all, they will, at some point, cause enough chaos that the authorities might get involved. Damaged goods need to be replaced, chipped doors repaired and perhaps the authorities might wonder why exactly the mother seems to be utterly uninvolved. Of course, like this teen, some folks might prefer to just take matters into their own hands.

I wish people would stop thinking of kids as poor innocent lambs. These kinds new bloody well that what they were doing was not right.
These kids need someone to open the door on them at the perfectly timed moment and give them the exact same Spartan kick in return, right to the chest.
Load More Replies..."My kids are too embarrassed to go outside" Good, problem solved! That one YTA doesn't know what doxxing is, the poster had no personal information, only pictures, and the kids live in the neighborhood so people know what they look like anyway. Messing with mail and mailboxes is a federal crime in the US, but packages delivered by private companies are a different ballgame. If they keep abusing your boxes, here's an idea: buy some stupidly expensive very fragile thing, insure its delivery out the wazoo. The kids smash it up, you file a claim, the deliver company reimburses you, and then goes after the family responsible for damages. The parents and police might blow your complaints off, but FedEx is a multibillion dollar company and their lawyers are a lot harder to ignore.
And while she's at it she needs to hang some additional signs around the neighborhood, "Mama gorilla on the loose ALSO banging on doors and calling people bitches! Look out!"
Load More Replies...lmoa the YTA people clearly thinking they're sooo clever and also clearly not reading the post through.
Those are the kind of "pacifists" that go around bashing people on the internet when, in fact, they would do much worse in the same position! I wouldn't even call them trolls, just clueless posers!
Load More Replies...Doxxed? Seriously? Some people think she doxxed the kids? Nope. Not even close. Not remotely close. The kids acted like idiots, got caught acting like idiots, and were publicly called out for acting like idiots. The solution to the problem is; stop acting like idiots.
I'd have been round mummy's house with a large bill for repairs to the door, however minor the damage. Make the b***h pay for her brats' behaviour.
I'd just start doing it to their house. Or find some kids willing for cash. I'll pay em to kick the hell outta her door every 10 minutes
Load More Replies...These kids were lucky I wasn't behind the door. They wouldn't have had a second chance to misbehave. About the camera, they know it's there they just don't care.
Now that they know the CAMERA caused their consequences, not the homeowner, that is their next target.
Load More Replies...Did the YTAs read the whole story? They did speak to the mother who brushed them off.
From the context of one of the comments, I think the first posted version omitted that she spoke with the mom. Then she amended the story, so when they commented, they did think she went straight from nothing to posters.

On no level is this person an AH. The parent is top AH and the children are second level AHs. They knew their mother didn't care so they continued their mischief. Get video and take them to small claims court for the damage to the door.
Personally I wouldn't have cared waht their home life was like and would have called the police to start with, but I love the solution OP came up with.
Agreed; if they're home life is terrible, then maybe calling the cops would get CPS involved.

YTA trolls opening their mouths and inserting their feet! That "kids will be kids" stuff is BS! I'd embarrass, I'd call the cops and I'd have something done about the mail situation! I'd go all out on this one!
I would install an electric shocker on the doorbell and tell the parents that it's their fault if the critters get shocked.
As an unsuspecting parcel delivery person I would sue you to hell. We already have to use "ways" that are rather Ninja Parcours, often badly lit, and - my personally gold trophy (I'm short and have short arms) - ...over decorated "cute" stuff in front of the doorbell, aaargh! The times I almost pierced my eyes or ripped my clothes wants me to throw it all around. I literally clapped when I saw the short video when a delivery guy stumbled and fell over that c**p and went berserk on the porch, hurling that clutter like an American football. Just keep your way and the doorbell area a bit kempt. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

I’d actually be calling the cps to mother clearly does not parent her brats I’m a mother mine are 23-20 I’m 60 n if mine had been doing this I’d be sorting it out I’d be so embarrassed but then I bought mine up right and I’m in uk those kids will grow up being the next little aholes stabbing or shooting people ! N to the yta lot please don’t have kids !
If the kids are destroying property--your door, your packages--that's a crime. Call the police and keep tracking the damage. Get a restraining order against the kids being on your property. Obviously it can't be a "stay 100 yards away" but it could be anywhere on your property: the back yard, the front door pathway, etc. The hooligans are juvenile delinquents.
I don't understand all the people saying "call the police." What are they going to do? There's no crime, unless they consider trespassing. It could be a nuisance. But in most areas, resources are spread pretty thin with most of them going to the priorities. And with kids, the police will do nothing. Calling the police isn't the solution most people think it is. It's for real emergencies, not annoyances. Granted, this was a big annoyance and should never have happened. But given that they talked to the parents who didn't see an issue, I don't know what other choice most of us would have made. And they had it coming, honestly. These kids are heading to no good place. They need intervention.
