Nancy Le Vine is a senior dog photographer who believes old canines should be celebrated in all their dignity, wisdom and unconditional love. Today the woman is travelling through the States, taking photos of senior dogs and sharing their stories with the world...
It all started when two of Le Vine's dogs, Lulu and Maxie, passed away back in 2006. Being a photographer, she couldn't think of a better way to honor their loving memory than to take a camera and start taking pics of old doggies who were still around.
To understand the intimate relationship New York-based Le Vine builds with senior dogs, just see how she talks about a shot with one of her dogs, Babe. "Babe was my very best friend. A very, very old soul. Never needed a leash... [She] began my passion for looking deeper into the eyes of a dog with my camera."
"I miss her so much even though so much time has past. She lingers with me forever." While some of the Le Vine's beloved dogs are not around any longer, their loving memory - and beautiful pictures - talk about the profound mark they left on their owner's life.
