Why do people do this?

This is a ridiculous trend. The inside of the mouth doesn't heal great, the ink falls out even with lip tattoos, you have to jam your hand up in someone's germy gross mouth and no one can see it anyway.

Instead of spending so much money on the tattoo, some of them should see a dentist!!

If you've always wanted a tattoo but don't want it in a place others can see it, why not put it in a place YOU can see it?

Getting a tattoo is painful (I have 7), but this a new frontier in that department, I would imagine. I would also imagine this would make oral surgery rather pleasant--these people all had to be upside down for this procedure, that ink in their mouths (maybe like being water-boarded?) and I am also assuming they could not eat during the healing process. Yeesh...No thanks.

I don't know why this story has gotten so many down votes. It's weird, and obviously not everyone's cup of tea, but it's not offensive in any way. That's the only reason I would give a negative rating.

What is bothers me most it's not the tattoo itself but that you can see people's teeth from a different angle and you can see rotten teeth more clearly.

What I found more fascinating than the tattoos,were the differences in pallets, the occasional signs of illness, and signs of a definite need for better dental care

i hate people who are down voting this. it is the persons choice, and the tattoo itself is done amazingly. also, a lot of people who have worse teeth than u didn't have proper dental care as children. and, @boredpanDaman it is not useless and what they do is their choice. @Rose all i can think is why did u open that thread, just 4 the upvotes? @MemeMee good for u u have an opinion. but its not stupid just cause u wouldnt want it. it might hurt, but so what? thay want it, so good 4 u they probably dont give a sh*t what you think. I really like it, especially the "Om" ones. I wish I knew what they other symbols mean. I know a few are Wiccan, but don't remember the meaning. I can also see how there could be significance of the placement. Like writing a name over your heart, or wings on your heals. That idea is why I like the "Om", it has significance.
