This should be higher. I ended friendships because my then-friends were rude to waiters and receptionists. Why would you do that?

I think there needs to be a punishment where people who do things like this get like a house arrest anklet. Instead of geo tracking should have something that scramble and disallows the internet around the person.

Yes! I never litter yet everyone in my family seem to just do it without a second thought. I've done everything to get them to stop but they still do it anyway. They'll happily walk away from tables/benches in parks or playgrounds leaving heaps of trash everywhere (and loudly complain when I refuse to move until I can clean it) I just try to do damage limitation when I'm with them and don't allow them to get away with it, I'm also teaching the younger generation to do better and not just copy their parents. It makes so frustrated that my 4 and 5yr old nieces and nephews understand better than their parents do. (Gives me a little hope for their futures though.)

Habitual is horrible yes, but I don't have a problem with occasional littering. What the f**k do you think a highway is? that is thousands upon thousands upon thousands of miles of concrete litter. There is no such thing as littering when we have already f****d this country up with miles of concrete, Concrete all across this great country is litter. let that soak in morons.

I don't even like it if a bit of rubbish accidentally falls out of my pocket. I have to pick it up until I can find a bin like I was previously look for. I don't get littering. I'm also fed up of sweeping up random bits of dropped food at work, you think we like random half eaten food?

And there are no excuses that are acceptable. Don't care if you were drunk, on a business trip, it was one time, you regret it, they came on to you, blah, blah.

Or believing it is something to be judged and found wanting for. Had a work friend turn to me because her son was suicidal because she knew I suffered from depression. While talking it came up that he had been prescribed the same anti depressants I was on. Many hours of comforting and sharing later she asked me to be sure to never let anyone know he was on prescription drugs at work because she didn't want anyone thinking her son had a mental problem......let that sink in.

Hotelier, here. Our resort has garden (golf course) rooms starting at $1200/night w/resort fees, taxes, etc. Our ocean views start at $1700 and oceanfront at $2300. Those are rackrate, off-season. You can guess which guests have issues with everything from their room to facilities to staff to the food to activities. They often treat staff as “less than” It’s not the wealthy folks peering out at the sun setting over the sea. It’s the mildly successful, upper middle class who think they’re better than others and have snobby attitudes and outrageous demands.

This behaviour is a good warning sign though. It shows that you’re dealing with someone who’s whole self-worth is determined by how they match against other people. Run away!
