Giving your new pet a name can be quite challenging at times. Sometimes it is enough to look at them and you already realize what name will suit them to a T, but sometimes you might have a bunch of nice names and still be unsure which one to select as your final choice. We wanted to discuss some cool cat names in this article, but you can apply these ideas to really any pet you have.
So you brought home a ball of purr. First of all, congratulations! You are now in possession of a natural alarm clock that will demand food at the crack of dawn, an interior designer who’ll rearrange stuff on your desk according to the latest trends (and knock off everything that doesn’t fit in), and an affectionate bundle that will give you the warmest cuddles in the world. Now it’s time to make a list of creative cat names to start choosing from.
Science can be a source of some unique cat names. Observe their behavior for a couple of days. Does your kitty like to stick their tongue out a lot? That’s very obviously an Einstein! Do they like gazing into the distance with an expression of deep thought? I think you just got yourself an Aristotle. There are plenty of famous names in science, and you will definitely find one that suits your cat.
By the way, did you know that the scientific name of the domestic cat is Felis catus? To honor that name, you can call your pet Felix or Felicia – both sound very beautiful and look good on a cat. And if you are after some rare cat names, you can go deeper into mathematical terms (kitten siblings Sine and Cosine, anyone?), chemical elements (a golden kitten named Aurum will draw lots of attention), and so on.
Just make sure you name your cat with love, and in no time they will start responding to it.
