A Girl Who’s Been Bullied Since She Was 7 Storms The Prom With The Most Badass Escort

While school years are the perfect time to learn and grow, they can also prove to be a truly difficult period in one’s life, especially when you’re a teenager. 16-year-old Chloe Robson, from County Durham in the UK can attest to that since she’s been a target of bullying since the age of 7. No wonder she’s been dreading the reactions she’d get at prom.

Fortunately, on June 28th, her uncle Grant Robson, the man behind “North East Bikers Against Bullies” came to her rescue, as he organized a 126 biker entourage for his niece. “It was a big shock when we heard the engines and all the bikers turned up – I wasn’t expecting that many but it made me feel supported and confident,” Chloe told Daily Mail. And it was quite a sight! “It was an indescribable moment – my friends all ran up and said ‘wow, that was an entrance’.” the girl recalled.

This act of kindness gave Chloe confidence and she’s not the only person out there who needs it. “North East Bikers Against Bullies” often do rides to inspire and encourage kids who are bullied. Scroll down to see the full story and tell us what you think!

Hopefully Uncle Grant gave Chloe the boost and confidence she needs to continue her stand against bullies. Sometimes just "knowing" you have people who have your back, can give you the moral support needed to continue another day. The world needs more people like Grant Robson!

It started when she was 7. Her being overweight at that age is not her fault at all. You clearly have no idea what bullying can do to someone. How is she supposed to just pick herself up when she has been pushed down for most of her life and is likely depressed? Depressed people with a destroyed self-confidence are unlikely to give a f**k about themselves even if they know logically what they're doing is unhealthy. If you don't care if you live or die, a person who has been picked on for how they look - how can one be expected to go out for a jog when you think every malicious pair of eyes will be on you? When one walks past laughing people and immediately will feel they're laughing at them? It becomes a vicious cycle, until you get people like these bikers who will remind you that you DO matter, and you DO deserve better than the s**t you've been dealt. You said it, Mister Mister - judgment is never a constructive approach. But what are you doing, other than judging?

I am with you Christina. Parents need to teach this and schools need to do more to stop it and work with the parents of the perpetrators. People saying here 'she should lose weight' what about children with speech impediments, glasses, or an obvious scar? Things that can't be helped? The problem lies with the bullies and they are the ones that need to change

Bullying is not right at any circumstances. Period. On a side note through - I hope her obesity is a result of treated health problem and that she is trying to lose her weight and is under medical treatment if needed. Otherwise I see a big fault in her parents, for letting their beatuiful child grow morbidly obese with unhealthy diet, or not keeping an eye on her health. And from the childhood pics it looks that she was always fat. I'm guessing that a whole big lot of bullying came from her being this size unfortunately, as kids are often very straightforward and cruel.

do you know what is funny? couple weeks ago i saw a cat on insa, that was obese. and what a turmoil was there! people were calling out on the owner, blaming them for abuse of a cat by overfeeding it. and here, when it comes to a person, everyone has a mug ful of positive body image, self confidence and other c**p. B******T!!! i am in this with the downvoted majority ... at least i hope we are majority and that common sense didn' get to minority... because one thing is body shaming and fatshaming and namecalling, but if you look at that girl, you can clearly see that she is not overweight. she's just fat. and that comes with health issues, that we all will pay for in taxes(okay, not you america, we know... not that it is any good).

Some of the fat shamers do understand that 'eating less' won't always fix the 'problem'. She could gain weight duo to some other medical issue, or medicine or whatever. Don't say she needs to eat less when you don't know her! That just makes you look pathetic and nothing beter than the people who bully her. So congratulations, an adult who bullies a child.

Medications, mental health, social deprivation, self-esteem and genetics all play a role in our ability to control our weight, and judgment is never a constructive approach. But suggesting that being a size 30 is just as healthy as being a size 12 isn’t a body-positive message either – it’s an irresponsible form of denial. Hospital admissions related to obesity have increased by 18%, with valuable space in the hospital being used to treat irresponsible people. Can you imagine having a heart attack, yet there is no room to treat you since those people are using it?

This is to Mister Mister, After reading all your posts, I think I know what you are trying to say but you have to realize this too. As a child she has to eat what is given to her. If her family is poor, they may not be able to provide good healthy foods. It's far cheaper to make casseroles that stretch the budget than to eat fresh greens. My family existed on mac and cheese and hotdogs with canned peas. Because we were a family of 6 and only one parent worked for a paycheck. Food like meatloaf and tons of potatoes, boiled cabbage, Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on white bread. C**p food, all in the name of saving a few bucks. It wasn't until we got out on our own did we have any say in what we ate. So to lay her problem at her feet at her age isn't very fair. Also, consider this, perhaps she is obese because of a health issue. What I am trying to say is, have some empathy...you are coming across very much like said bullies; cold and unfeeling and very judgemental. Not yr intent?

To bring up Chloe's appearance is to judge every bit as much as the bullies. That is to say "it's her own fault being bullied". It's NOT her fault!! Do not think that bullies "have a reason" to bully, because they don't. They bully because THEY WANT TO! Nobody was bad to them when they were children, no one taught them how to bully, they did it all on their own! Don't think that bullies have excuses to bully people! All of us are the best we can be, at every given moment, and we grow, and we get better, but bullies keep bullying throughout their lives. We'll all met them, even as grown-ups. And they always play down the scars their bullying cause. I've met bullies who laugh it away, as if it was only a mischief they played others, when they were small, and I've met the victims of the bullying too, who still wear the scars in their souls! Bullies are BASTARDS. Nothing else.

That's awesome!! I was bullied & beat up from 1st grade through HS. The only thing that stopped it was my wonderful friend Patrick. He put a stop to all of it. I will forever be grateful to him for that. My oldest son even has his name as his middle name. We were kindred spirits. He lost his Mother at a young age just like me (I was 10) & her name was Patricia just like mine. What a great person he is!

Bullying is bad, and if she has some kind of speech impediment I feel for her, that's something you can't do much with. Your weight on the other hand, IS something you can control. Yeah yeah yeah, people will downvote this comment like crazy, and tell me people aren't fat by choice, they have some sort of disorder or sickness or whatever, but that's ok. Obesity is unhealthy and it's not beautiful.

I agree that being overweight is unhealthy but it should never be a reason to bully. Bullies pick on people for things that they can't help as well. Stop the bullying. She might comfort eat because of it anyway. Zero tolerance for bullying.

I'm an old man and I really hope people don't take this the wrong way in this hyper-sensitive world but kids need to not be so hovered over so that they can spread their wings, stand up to bullies, stick a dual middle finger salute in their face without fear of repurcussion and tell people to f**k off because I'm me and I really don't give 2 flying f***s what you think...well that is what I did...because that is what will make a boy or a girl confident and ready to kick life in the a*s down the road. Take control of it. Don't let anybody dictate what happens to you in school. in a marriage, in a job, or in life. If it sucks, get away from it. Life is too short for that s**t. If the mental or physical grip is too much, reach out and somebody will help you break that bond...and that's all I have to say about that...

Regardless of her weight, she's really quite beautiful. If only she could look at herself through MY eyes it's possible she could easily stand up to the bullies. Because I believe those who bully are probably not very attractive and they're not only jealous but also deeply insecure. Bullying may give them a sense of temporary importance.

Why does everyone keep saying she is beautiful? Just because she is a victim of bullying doesn't mean that she is beautiful. If we keep encouraging people to be obese, they're going to be put at risk of cardiovascular diseases, bullying, mental-health issues, they're going to deny reality, they'll be more of a snowflake than before, and they'll die younger than normal people. Why should we care so much about their feelings? Why don't we care about their health first and then their feelings?

Overall. I think there are 3 sides to this. Bullying is a problem for adults to deal with on both sides (victim and bully's parents), the other side is the kid(s) (bully) and then, the 3rd side, of the victim themself. Sure, having the bikers support, fixes the self-esteem of the victim, but the bully is now a victim 2x over (bullies are already victims, generally from something at home that creates the mindset)... we have not been able to deal with all 3 tiers without there being someone at the losing end. Shun the bully, great now what, now we have another victim, probably patient-zero...

Whenever i see this kind of stories i feel so touched but angry at the same time. There shouldnt be this much hate while a child is growing up. This is so wrong.

How could they pick on her appearance she is stunningly pretty! High school is such a c**p shoot. It's a whole big world outside of high school that will make you realize it was just an annoying blip in your life.

As the old saying goes "Empty Vessels Make the Most Noise". Bullies lack substance - hence the noise - so the bully others to make up for it.

I don't think the crowd was too happy. No one was smiling or clapping or cheering when she got out of the car. In fact, they all looked really mad. But this was great! Kudos to her and her uncle for doing this!!

Like, by doing this, the bullies now have extra ammunition to bully her. They'll call her weak for needing someone else to help her.

If anything it would be envy. But exactly what are they envious of? Her big size? Don't think so. This myth that bullies are envious is horsecrap. If anything they are stupid and/or lack empathy, or just plain evil.

What a beautiful girl! My friends son had a really bad year at school. He'd been attacked by students he didn't even know along with some other things. His dads motor bike friends gave him an escort to his prom. There were 80 Harley's and they arranged it so that he was the last student to arrive.

Don't know. She could just try eating less. It's healthier, increases her life expectancy, and will have nothing for the bullies to tease about. Like, this is basically providing publicity about her, which in turn solicits more negative attention

The irony is we call bikers in the UK "f**s" Bunch of obnoxiously loud, boring old men who think they look 'cool' still and wear too much leather. I would of still called her fat regardless of the f**s, fat shaming works.
