Dog lovers worldwide constantly fight over which good boy is the cutest and most adorable. However, for some dog owners, cuteness is boring and they want their doggo to scare the living daylights out of their neighbors instead. They achieved this in one of the most innovative ways ever - by turning their furry friends into vicious, chillingly scary dogs with the help of a simple novelty muzzle.

If you’re all about shock value as well, love supernatural creatures and believe it’s never too early to get ready for Halloween, then you might consider getting a dog muzzle for your pooch that looks exactly like the snarling jaws of a rabid werewolf.

More info: Amazon | Facebook

However, be warned that this cool thing will make even the most innocent puppy or sleepy old-timer look as though they want to tear a chunk of flesh out of somebody’s leg and then howl at the moon.

While the werewolf muzzle is great for a laugh on Halloween or during the full moon when others are expecting odd-looking creatures and weird monsters to roam the streets, it might not be the best idea to have your Cerberus wearing it every time you take it out for walkies. The muzzle’s massive plastic bloodstained teeth are liable to give anyone a heart attack, especially kids and the elderly. It’s great for keeping thieves away from your home, but far from not the best way to make new friends at the local park.

According to SpookyPup’s listing for the cool dog muzzle on Amazon, their product is supposed to be ‘hilarious’ and a way for man’s best friend to join you on your annual Halloween hunt for candy, chocolate and, hopefully, Scooby Snacks. There are three muzzle sizes to choose from (medium, large and extra-large) so most dog lovers will have the opportunity to turn their fluffy amigos into terrifying Terriers.

The werewolf muzzle is as fun as it is scary, but it raises a couple of important issues. First of all, most pooches that wear muzzles are seen as dangerous dogs, whether or not they really are. Secondly, some people think that muzzling dogs is cruel.

The fact is, a dog with a muzzle means its owner is being responsible and very careful. For example, the dog might have recently been injured and we all know how pain can make even the friendliest critters lash out. Meanwhile, other dogs are very inquisitive and will eat anything in sight, from pebbles to bugs, so it’s important to prevent this for their own sake. Lastly, depending on where you live and what breed your dog is, you may be legally forced to make it wear a muzzle, even if your pupper has never hurt anyone before. As far as cruelty is concerned, it’s very important that your dog has been trained to wear muzzles and that they aren’t too small or constricting.

Wow! This is great, because the fur hides the muzzle and really looks like its teeth!

Some experts argue that all owners should get their dogs used to muzzles from an early age, just in case they need to wear one in the future. According to experts, sooner or later a situation will occur where your dog will have to wear a muzzle, so it’s in everyone’s interest for the dog not to fear muzzles from the very start. Unfortunately, not all dogs love muzzles.

The best way for your dog to quickly get used to muzzles is to associate it with fun, getting compliments and plenty of delicious treats. Remember to generously reward your dog and shower it with love for being near a muzzle at the start of the training and for wearing it later on.

OK, I confess. This one made me laugh out loud. (but I would never put a muzzle on a dog, they couldn't defend themselves if needed).

"This thing is great! I wouldnt suggest it as an actually muzzle if your dog is super aggressive. But as just a precaution or as a costume its very cute. It worked very well for my pup in both the haunted house we worked at and in the creative grooming competition we competed in."

Aww, thanks for rescuing that sweet pup! The longer she's in a loving home, the more confident she will get. Depending on how traumatizing she had it before, she may never be real open around strangers. My dog is scared of his own shadow sometimes. He will be outside pooping and haul butt yelping that a blade of grass caught him offguard. But he's a chihuahua and they're just weird too. But they're all awesome no matter what their quirks are, just makes them so much more special.

Unless it's part of A Costume, This Dog has a very interesting and beautiful coat. The mask does not appear to reflect THIS PURRTY PUPPER'S TRUE PURRSONALITY! LOL

"The medium was the right size for my husky, but I got the large. I'm happy with it because she has extra space to drink water with it. And it's very easy to adjust she never fights when I put it on. I just got it for when new people come to my house that my dog doesn't know, she can be a bully to strangers and has a small nipping issue if she hasn't warmed up to you."

A small nipping issue? That is a husky! The money would have been better spent on some training, I don't think this is meant as a real muzzle.

"Size was a bit big for my shepherd but for Halloween it will work. Just to have her dressed up and a sense of relief to take the kids out. It is super hard plastic and nice sturdy clip to attach behind the head"

"This is too funny! I have a Golden Retriever/Irish Setter mix and I got him the XL. The dog I got this for is very mild mannered and this just looks so funny on him. He is almost 6 and never bared his teeth ever. He also has never had a muzzle of any sort on, at first he did not like it. Then is was oh well I guess I have to have this on. lol Will definitely break this out each year. It is made of a rigid material and has an adjustable strap to go around back of head."

" This was terrifyingly adorable!! Our dogs are used to wearing muzzles from time to time, so this was no problem getting on. We have a 55 lb lab mix, and the xl size was roomy, but our dog seemed comfortable wearing it. We will be getting our headless horseman saddle togethere to complete his demon dog outfit!"

"Love it! My lab keeps raiding the pantry in the 3 hrs between lunch and dinner. We needed an alternative to having him outside on a chain. This is so hilarious! He loves it too! Runs up to put it on, sometimes he won't let you take it off and runs away playing."

"This hilarious dog costume muzzle by Spooky Pup is absolutely fine. The plastic was a little bit harder than I thought it would be however it does come with a little leather strap on the inside to make sure that your dog's muzzle doesn't get to irritated. My dog was unsure of what exactly was going on at first so he let me put it on, but then quickly realized that he hated it. Of course no one's really going to like wearing a muzzle. But this will be a great muzzle for Halloween or something like that where you can take your puppy and you also want to make the extra insurance that they may not get into any fights with any other dogs if you have a ready. Also makes for a good addition to a costume if you wanted. This allows your dog to be safe and secure while making them look hilarious, and venomous and dangerous. As you can see in the picture of my dog, he did not look dangerous at all and only embarrassed as soon as you put it on he just wanted to lay down and put his head in between his paws. Haha! I suggest that you get it to him him used to it before the day that you actually want to use the product. I got the large and it fit perfectly for my dog which is a German shepherd pitbull mix, and he has a large but long muzle, so you can kind of get the gist of how big the sizes are."
