Art is not just about beauty. One of its greatest powers is precisely the ability to reveal the realities of the world without having to use absolutely any words, thus crossing the borders of language limitations.

Polish illustrator, Pawel Kuczynski's work does exactly that. In an intelligent and creative way, the artist addresses social, political, and economic issues of global importance. Ridiculing our obsessive relationship with the virtual world, he opens up a series of questions. Pawel's work has been previously featured on Bored Panda and you can find more of his illustrations by clicking here, here, here, here, and here.

Book good, TV bad... Yes, society has a problem with social media. But "oh no, this poor guy is sucked into his TV, that he wanted to watch this new show on after a full day of work, because he didn't read a book in candlelight instead!" take is just meh.

I thought it was like how one might soak their feet/watch television to unwind after a hard day

What I'm watching in 2022 (a small collection): Star Trek DS9, Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis, Periphery, Prey, Death on the Nile, Little House, The Boys, Family Matters, Firefly, The Expanse, Smile, Xena, Warehouse 13, Star Trek movies (up to Nemesis), Indiana Jones, etc. It's not about what we get shown, but what we choose to watch. Be it the algorithm that WE influence, or simply the shows we ourselves chose to stream. No one forces you to spend your time worrying about things you can't change, or consuming articles filled with buzzwords for clicks.

After a long day working with technology, we use technology to "unwind."

You're right. Programming, running machines, testing chemicals, arguing with people over video calls, editing lists and data, driveing a forklift, having to deal with bosses, clients and co-workers, that's just as much/little unwinding as leaning back and watching Firefly in your own home with only people you like. Totally the same. Bad technology. Baaad. Better try to paint with Bob Ro...damn it. That's a TV show, so technology and therefore the same as my full workday.
