I made the decission to not want to have kids. It was a hard one for me, but especially since I´m in the homeoffice because of Corona and the kids (and also the mother) above us annoy the **** out of me, I am soooooooo happy I made this decission. But still I think...it´s not the kids to blame, it´s the parents.

I don't have to see and/of hear them to feel a sense of relief. Just thinking about baby's and kids is enough. It's like when I was little and the news showed a bit about tornadoes which freaked me out. My dad would reassure me that there aren't F5 tornadoes in our area. Which made me feel better and keep away the nightmares. Knowing that I can no longer have kids due to a medical issue has been a great relief. I would not have been fit to raising kids. All that crap about "it's different when it's your own kid" is nonsense. Some people aren't meant to become parents. It's not for them and they're not up for the job. I'm just happy I knew this early on. And not after becoming a mom. If you really dislike kids having one of your own doesn't always magically change that. And I'm not willing to take the risk.

Background: My husband is 63 & I'm 58. He has 3 adult children & I have 2. We are both grandparents. Having a discussion in an Uber with my sister. She just can't believe we've lived in San Diego for 8 years and never been to Disney Land (we're HUGE Disney/Pixar fans). I was like, "Ewww. You're aware it's full of children, right?". The driver started cracking up!

My husband and I always quietly say to each other “reason number 3,463 (or any number really) why we don’t have kids.” Then we giggle like kids ourselves and get as far away from the annoyance as possible.

Yes, ohhh, it's so me!

Yes always and that's what I say to myself this is exactly why I didn't have children!

My great nieces and nephews are wonderful, but I’m still very happy to bring them back to their mom when I’m done with them.

I'm am continually amazed, and pleased when I walk into my local amish owned store, and compare mainstream families with amish and mennonite...the 4 year olds of the latter are better behaved than the 10 year olds of the former!

I have one child but this is SO me lol, weird right ? The only child in the world I have ever loved/will love is my own, the worst ever is when people feel the need to post 12747382 pictures of their kids everyday on social media it makes me gag
