Last year, Mama Waddles (a stray) showed up after she'd been dumped & was pregnant. I brought her inside, she had 5 littles, and a lovely no-kill shelter helped me with getting them all spayed or neutered & we got them adopted out to great homes (I kept Mama & one baby).

Rescued from a local Pound. She was skinny and frightened when we took her home. Hid under a sofa for a while and then jumped up onto our laps in turn and gave us a cuddle. Hasn't stopped since.

She was pregnant when I found her, and had five sweet kittens. I found responsible forever homes for all of them, and had Ragamuffin fixed. She was my companion for 17 wonderful (and sometimes tumultuous) years. Rags passed peacefully in her sleep in May of 2014.

The dogs were kept in outdoor cattle pens, no shelter, no fresh water, and very little food except the bodies of other dogs who had died. Many had ears sliced off from the owner hitting them with a shovel. Breaks my heart. We've had her five years now.

Had to stalk and grab her in the street, she was a five weeks old scared of her shadow, malnourished, dehydrated and flea infested tiny thing. Her name is Gloria Mundi because she deserved a great glorious name. It was a victory when she came into my arms and let me pet her several months later. Now she is almost always at my side and purrs loudly when touched or even only talked to.

Midge (Calico) is about a year old and was likely born born into the colony. Mica (grey tabby) is about 4-5 years old, report was that he was abandoned there. They're still learning to trust human (especially Mica), but we're working on it!

Cookie had been previously adopted through a local no-kill shelter, but brought back because the adopter's resident cat was being mean to her (I tell her it's because she's too cute & that other cat was jealous!)
