Heinlein's prose definitely deteriorated in his later novels--he had no ability to write from a female perspective, but kept thinking he could. The nipple obsession between this book and The Cat Who Walked Through Walls was what finally made me stopped reading him.

I have to say that I am very fond of many of Mr. Heinlein's novels. But if you are female an can read "Friday" more than once, your mental processes should be given serious study.
