Visiting the set of an R rated movie and seeing a finished R rated movie can be vastly different things. I might not let my kid see the movie but I likely wouldn't have an issue of them visiting the set. I doubt he's inviting kids to the sets on the days they are filming sex scenes, for example.

I can see why parents are so concerned, but Ryan makes a good point. The kids from a make-a-wish foundation probably already had their parents approve, so really it's no big deal. Deadpool is probably one of the most light-hearted R-movies you can find out there anyway.

Damn, burn, Ryan Reynolds doesn't even give two cents, he gives one one-hundredth of that. and isn't it up to the parents whether children under 17 see an R-rated film? It seems they had their parents permission to visit the set, so I don't know what everyone's griping about.

R rating means an adult must accompany anyone under 17 to see the movie. THERE'S NO RATING ON THE NEWS ABOUT REAL LIFE S**T HAPPENING EVERYDAY.

Nothing was worse than watching someone who was a "sick kid" deal with the truth. She grew up and like a lot of these kids went terminal in adulthood. Once you turn 18 people no longer give a s**t. There's no make a wish, there's no celebrity ward visits or special trips. No charity orgs or hospitals be standing ready to help you but the stuff you need to live. Just f**k you die already. Dead at 27, close to 7 figures in debt. End of the day the monetary value of your life is busy probably a couple grand. I'm a straight up malthiest these days because of it. Let them have all they can while they can. It's not enough to just survive the damn disease into adulthood. Things don't get magically easier for grown ups. Not to mention if you can handle facing death you can handle a few curse words and a hump scene or 2.

It's the kids choice , they choose to go on the set because they have seen and liked the movie. And they are there because they got approval from their parents and from the council of Make a Wish foundation. And maybe this is kinda harsh, but we're talking about kids and cancer. And since most of the battles with cancer are lost, they might not make it to the age where they can legally see an R rated movie. So they should make most of their life, for as long as they can.

Conclusion, you can show the worst dirty movies to a kids if he has cancer and if he love this kind of movies. Clever Ryan... -_-
