Rosario is my younger daughter. She is 2 years old and she is my rainbow baby.
A “rainbow baby” is a baby that is born following a miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death or infant loss. In the real world, a beautiful and bright rainbow follows a storm and gives hope of things getting better. The rainbow is more appreciated having just experienced the storm in comparison.
The storm (pregnancy loss) has already happened and nothing can change that experience. Storm-clouds might still be overhead as the family continues to cope with the loss, but something colorful and bright has emerged from the darkness and misery.
Rosario was born after 4 pregnancy losses.
She was born on April 22, 2015 by induced natural labor, weighing 3,444 kg and 49 cm. She arrived to our lives to demonstrate us that every tear and every difficulty that we had to face was worthy. When I held her for the first time and our eyes met my heart was finally cured.

I see the face of hope right here With Lily skin and auburn curls So precious is each day and night you spend with her A princess among all other girls Your wait for her was long and painful But now at last your wait is done With eyes that sparkle like stars when she laughs Her laughter warmer than the sun You are so lucky she is now with you Words I'm sure you've heard before A little angel sent from Heaven For you to love cherish and adore And in turn she is lucky to have you too A loving mother on which she can rely Warm arms to hold her and someone she can talk to More and more as years go by But right now she this carefree innocent Her daily adventures are your future memories Your beautiful photographs here document each joyous moment Nothing in the world more precious to you than these.
