Rexie got a backbone injury due to an accident at the age of 5 months old. He is not able to use his rear end since that time. But he has adjusted to live a life as a two legged cat. Now he’s 2 years old and he’s no different that any other cat: he loves to play, loves to cuddle, he walks and runs and even climbs. The only thing he can’t do is jumping. Sometimes he uses his wheelchair as a physiotherapy procedure but he has no trouble walking around without it.
He’s smart and inquisitive, yet timid at times. He has a ferret companion he loves to play with and he would follow him everywhere checking what the little guy is up to.
Rexie is not bothered by his disability at all. He lives his life to the fullest and just enjoys little things he can do. He lives by the motto “disability doesn’t mean inability”, and he’s a living example those words are true. He might be a disabled special needs kitty but it doesn’t mean he ever wanted to give up. He lives a good life and I’m always there for him when a help is needed (I have to help him to use the toilet) or when he wants to chill in bed he can’t climb, I’m here to give him a hand.
All in all, life’s never perfect, and for some it happens to be less perfect or less fortunate, but strong souls always overcome the obstacles and they don’t stop fighting. Rexie has always been a big fighter, and he is loved.
