Artist Fully Restores Rusty And Abandoned Car Models, And Here Are His Best 17 Works
If you're reading this post, you probably already know how soothing it is to see a real car get detailed and restored to perfection. Turns out, you can get the same satisfaction from watching a model car get restored, too.
The term “beyond repair” seems to hold little meaning for one artist and YouTuber called "Restore Machines." With over 500k subscribers on YouTube, the artist shares rusty and abandoned car models being fixed to full restoration.
If you're into watching real cars get the restoration treatment they deserve, we're confident you'll enjoy these transformations as well. Given that, you can also see the repaired car models in a video format. "Restore Machines" has a ton of videos where he shows a time lapse of fixing the miniature vehicles, so if you're really into it, you won't be short of entertainment this week.

Why are the wheels on all of these always slanted of like its broken, but in the video, it never is.
why do the look so weird? I just want to know what happened to the Lambo.... But I feel like he just extended the chassis somehow....
How can someone even restore this?! That guy has serious skills.
The Youtube for this one is really good. U was curious about the new wheels and tires. I am not curious anymore.
Most of these models are made of pewter which can't corrode the way iron does. I think the wrecks are fake and the photos are in reverse order: the first is the model intact, the latter is the model turned into a wreck. Also some models are just a few months old like the Bburago/Maisto LaFerrari. It's just not possible a model can degrade into a pile of rust in that short time.
What a shame to ruin a good, expensive car like that
Load More Replies...Why do all of the before pictures look the same. Does he distress them first then restore them?
I'm with you on this, looks a bit staged. How do all those model cars have similar damage and rust?
Load More Replies...🤔 Something not right about these? I suspect the 'after ' photos were actually taken 'before' he used the same saltwater/paint stripper acid process on them all (or at least the newer models). They are too uniformly broken down.
Ok, only two of the cars look as if they are really old and were left outside for some time. The rest is clearly carefully "damaged" and painted to look rusty. A few of them look as if they were heated and immersed in corrosive substances. I don't know how I feel about an hobby that consists of needlessly breaking stuff and then restoring it.
The damaged ones would've taken a lot more work than the "restored". Also, a car would rust away to nothing before the wheels would start falling off like that.
