Respect The Pronouns
I always try to refer to people as they/them. I have a lot of friends with different pronouns than how they look so I try my best to get it right. and If I am confused I will just ask what their pronouns are. I can see my trans friend cringe every time someone calls him a girl or uses she/her but most don't know that he is trans so he doesn't bother to correct them.
If I can’t tell what someones gender is then I won’t assume but I will admit that if someone obviously looks like a woman and dresses like a woman then I consider them a woman. If they obviously dress like a man and look like a man then I consider them a man. If someone looks androgynous then I won’t make assumptions on the persons gender and won’t use gendered pronouns.
