I Rescued A Newborn Kitten Trapped Under The Floor At My School And Now She Sees Every Human As A Blessing
April 2010, one day during a class I heard squeaking noises that sounded like a kitten. Some of the students got concerned, so we stayed after the class and tried to figure out where was it coming from.
Long story short, there was a kitten of 2-3 days trapped under the floor. I took her home even though my family was totally against.
She was still blind and had to be nursed and taken care of. Weeks of nanny shifts later while she needed to be fed every 2-3 hours, she started opening her eyes. I myself hold her the moment she opened her eyes for the first time. The first ones Fima ever saw were humans. And up till this day, we are her parents.
We had a female sterilized cat Jennifer, who took over our shifts. Jennifer was breastfeeding the baby and washing her as it was her own baby. She took care of a little Fima until she passed away.
And the love story doesn’t end here. A little rescued soul Fima was about 7-8 months old when we decided to get her a buddy.
When she met the kitten Silver, she was more than grateful and more than just a mom for him. She was his guardian angel, as Jennifer was for her. She let Silver suck on her nipples even though she never had any milk, she nursed him and washed him as mommy does. She was the best foster mom. As of today, Fima and Silver are the best friends. And Fima still sees every human as a blessing.

Adorable but can you please tell us the long story of how she was trapped in the floor??
Well.. That's a mystery until today. She was found on the 5th floor of a huge building. She couldn't have climbed there herself, cause she was just a couple days old. It couldn't have been a human job, cause we had to call carpenters to rip off the floor. The only logical explanation is that a mother cat somehow got in there, gave birth and didn't manage to get everyone out.. There were feral cats around that place, but the 5th floor and UNDER the woden floor facts still can not be explained
Load More Replies...So glad the little one had other cats to learn from. Sounds like an absolutely perfect situation all around. Gets me right in the feels.
Kittens have to be taught how to groom, how to play, and just about everything else cat-like - and only another cat can teach them these things. We had a kitten who had been taken from his mother FAR too early (we figure about three weeks old), and when we got him at six months, he was a terrible groomer and had nasty table manners. ...///... At the time, our other cat was only about 18 months old, but she took him in paw and taught him how to groom (it's amazing how motivated he was after the third time she scrubbed his ears for him).
Load More Replies...My family is taking care of some feral cats who live in our neighborhood. We’ll trap them soon to get them spayed/neutered soon so they can’t make more orphan kitties. We’re waiting until it’s warmer though, because to do the procedure, they have to shave their bellies. Your story is heartwarming and inspiring. :)
You need to find another vet. Spaying and neutering are done by laparoscopy now. It means no shaving, no big incisions that need to heal, and no stitches. It can be done on kittens as young as 10 weeks old. ...///... If your vet insists on doing it the old way, go elsewhere. The big surgery of the past has the danger of infections, shock, and traumatizes the animals.

We nursed him as best we could but my 20 year old tabby, Maggie, who had never had a litter took him under her wing. She passed away two weeks later but Phineas lay with her all day and as she passed. It was amazing, one life begun another ended.
I love this story! Cats are my coping method for my emotions. Silver looks close to what my cat looks like, and Fima looks like my old cat. Both of your kittys are adorable! Edited for error
What a lovely story. Thank you for sharing. I am so glad to see the pics of her growing up. Rescues are the best. I had a similar experience with my guy. He's 12 now.
Beautiful story and thanks for adding lots of photos! Bless you for rescuing her and later him!
Silver being bigger than Fima and trying to nurse is so damn cute! Gorgeous babies, btw!
That's so sweet. I'm happy you took her in after rescuing her instead of putting her in a shelter. All of the cats I've ever had we personally found and rescued. They are sweet.
I have two cats, Prissy and V. V looks exactly like Fima and Prissy looks like Silver. Yet I love this story!!
These cats live with my mom and I moved thousands of kilometers away and I now have a half Maine c**n Diana who looks like Fima and birman Messi, who looks like Silver 😂

No, she is a no race tabby kitty. She is quite tiny as well.
Load More Replies...She did! And I am really grateful for that
