If you don't know you are in a relationship, then you aren't in one. I'm assuming you are young and not very experienced, but love hits like a truck or it sneaks up on you. In either case, you know, but that's where the complications come and muddy the waters. Either directly ask or walk away, but I do suggest you ask. Email, IM or phone him/her, but don't live in a fantasy. Gonna hurt more then a no.

In my honest opinion that doesn’t sound like a relationship, especially since you don’t really have any way to communicate. Is there a way you can get the persons phone number from your parents and give them a call yourself to find out what’s going on and to tell them how you feel. How long ago was the last time you spoke with each other?

No, I have been ground from my phone for over a year. Last time we spoke was around 8 months ago.
