The left is what I was forced to wear being poor as a kid (minus the stupid mask) - and now you people call it fashion. 🤦‍♀️ Taking pride in how you look is about respect. Respect for yourself and others. And being grateful you are able to wear clothes without holes.

Has anyone seen the latest New York and Berlin fashion shows? Glamour devolved to garbage, for sure. At least 60% devolution. Reminds me of that episode of I Love Lucy where Ricky tricks Lucy into thinking he bought her expensive exclusive fashion when really it was a potato sack and rubbish bin XD

I like being over 40 and no longer giving a crap about "fashion". Not that I was ever really into it. Wear what's comfy that doesn't break any arbitrary dress code (like you can't wear PJs to the office - boo!) and that should see you right.

Kids in my school have started wearing pajamas to school and they just keep doing it, the teachers don't give a crap at this point. Now if only they'd stop dress coding girls for the littlest thing that easily...

This may be an unpopular opinion, but IMO fashion and dressing out makes me feel confident with myself. I don't wear "modern" sh*t, more like emo and grunge stuff, but ig I feel good about it because I'm really being myself, even if certain outfits may not be the most physically comfortable.

Nothing wrong with that. The important thing is wearing what you want, not what other people want you to wear. Who cares if that's sweatpants and socks or a miniskirt and killer heels.

It's so SMART to wear overpriced, trendy clothes that are uncomfortable. Great for the environment too, when you get rid of it in 6 months because it's no longer in style.

Fun comics that show the absurdity of fashion and image. I think it is more about how self conscious we are than what we wear. We all should love and accept out body as it is, and should take good care of it.

You missed one vital problem with women's clothes today. Lack of POCKETS! Not even jeans have real pockets. My last pair of $60 jeans have pockets that allow my fingertips to go in! Look at catalogs, boutiques and online. Every blazer I want to buy will be described as having "Faux pocket flaps" or not have pockets at all! WTAF is wrong with women having pockets anyway?

I’ve never cared for fashion trends. I’ve only wore what I’ve thought was flattering for my body: I’m tall, mesomorph, with an hourglass body shape. My hips are very wide, with a behind just a prominent, my shoulders are very prominent m, but my waist looks like a squeezed tube of toothpaste. So, I’ve always been more concerned with looking flattering and feeling comfortable.

We're constantly complaining about the dress code in schools, but then we're afraid to wear something outside of the social "dress code." Be yourself, wear what makes you comfortable, anybody who judges you obviously can't handle you.
