In “We Forgot to Learn”, the visual artist Mateus Morbeck proposes a reflection on the current moment we are living in, in the context of the pandemic, based on a parallel with events from the past. For this, he used overlays of photographs from the years 1918 and 1919 with current images produced with thermal infrared cameras.
“Again we are put to the test. Every day we lose new chances to win. We cry the same cry. We made the same mistakes. History repeats itself, instead of facing, we forgot to learn.”
