Nothing seems to be as successful on the internet as cats. Their furry quirks, tough temper, and the irresistible purring make these animals one of a kind. There are millions of videos, memes and photos of these furry friends, and sometimes it almost feels like the internet was created just so we could admire the grace and the beauty of these animals.
With all of that being said, an Instagram account by the name of "Catwheezie" is turning the most hilarious pictures of cats into very colorful, fun, and cute drawings featuring well-known cat memes. Emily, who is the artist behind these illustrations, has been featured on Bored Panda previously and you can find more of her work by clicking here.

In the last post, Bored Panda reached out to Emily as we were wondering about her project.
“Most of the cats I draw are from popular cat images I find online through Instagram. I've always loved these types of funny cat pictures and remember being a kid, printing out similar ones, and gluing them on my school notebooks."
Emily also told us that cats were the first thing that she learned to draw! Currently, the artist is quite busy with her studies but she still makes time to create some silly drawings featuring our feline friends.
“At the moment, I'm attending an art college and studying animation and illustration. When it comes to my work, I usually work on several of them at a time so I can make sure I'll have a new cat to post everyday. A lot of planning goes into this project!"
When asked about how the whole project started, the artist was quick to share some positive news.
“The project started when I decided to draw a cat every day until I was able to adopt one myself. For a while, I imagined I might be drawing cats forever, doomed to never adopt one. Magically, things fell into place and on day 21, my family and I adopted Beanie, a two-month-old rescue kitten.”
“With many people invested in the journey, I continued to draw even after my quest to adopt a cat ended. I set my goal to 100 consecutive days! After that, who knows? If people aren't sick of my cat art by then, I'd be glad to continue.”

If you can’t chill on the bathroom curtain rail, where can you chill?
I love this! As the proud owner of one and a half voids, I know all too well how hard it is to photograph an all-black cat. I'm amazed that the artist did so well shading the fur on the dark cats, they really gave the voids some dimension.
I too own a void, such a sweet cat. According to google, black cats with yellow eyes are of the "Bombay" breed.
