It’s So Cold In America And Canada That People Are Posting Photos Of Their Windows Breaking

I actually saw these sculptures (not the real frozen ramen) in front of some ramen (ramyeon) restaurants in Korea. Some of them are even moving, like the chopsticks go up and down. And, yeah, they are huge sculptures too. Very amusing to look at, so cute and funny.

Seriously. I'm in Utah. 15 years ago we were hosting the Winter Olympics, and this winter we've had one fruity snowstorm that was completely melted by the end of the day. I was planning on buying snow tires this winter, but there hasn't been a need! At least it's saved me money!

I'm Canadian and thanks to those stubborn mules to the south I know how many pounds I weigh, how many Km to the next town, how many yards that par 4 is, and that it was -29C out the other day. I know how many feet and inches tall I am but no idea how many cm.

An unfortunately, we're never going to change because anytime a politician had brought it up, everyone laughs about it. "What a waste of taxpayer dollars," and, "There are so many more important issues to U.S. voters, and THAT'S what they choose to focus on?? What a joke!" Yet, I still have more than half of my 12 year old students completely unable to measure when they enter my science class at the beginning of the year. And I teach them the metric system, so they still suck at the U.S. Standard System. It's a mess.
