Well, all these efforts seem worth it if you land your dream job. However, sometimes you end up with an offer that's so terrible that it makes you question a company’s respect for its workforce.
Today, Pandas, we've compiled a list that highlights some ridiculous compensation packages out there. From less than the bare minimum pay to no-holiday policies, these posts might leave you slightly infuriated. So, sit back and discover some job openings that you definitely don't want to apply to.

My boss declined my vacation (after having 4 months notice) to Hawaii to propose to my girlfriend because they (needed me badly) in the office… Obviously work/life balance didn’t mean anything to them. Anyways… here’s my view. (She said yes)
Millions of people in the US left the workforce during and after the Covid-19 pandemic due to exhaustion from work and they started to reconsider what they really wanted from their jobs. This made them seek better balance between their careers and personal lives, good pay, and more fulfilling careers.
Amid “the Great Resignation,” the phrase "Nobody wants to work anymore" became a common expression among business owners and HR professionals who were having difficulties hiring new people.
Slavery and exploitation never disappeared, they just have a legal form.
During that time, people were looking for flexible work options because they wanted to spend more time with their families. Many people also took some time off to gain new skills so that they could improve their career prospects.
YES! THIS! Most of us are only working because it beats dying of exposure in the streets.
That sentiment still holds true today. A recent PwC survey that involved 56 thousand workers worldwide found that aspiration for job hopping has risen significantly. According to the report, 28% expressed the desire for job change in 2024 compared to 19% in 2022 when the Great Resignation happened.
As a teacher, I would like to have my weekends for me and my family . Instead I am completing data trackers and lesson plans with so many details.
Listening to Kim Kardashian complain about how hard it is to be a single mom gave me cancer
For one thing, feeling stagnant or trapped is one of the reasons why people leave their employment positions. When you keep doing the same tasks day in day out without any challenge at all, you may feel like your career is not moving forward.
As LinkedIn COO Daniel Shapero wrote in his recent blog post, “While it’s easy to mistake low attrition for contentment, in reality many employees feel stuck and wish they could do something new but haven’t yet made the leap.” We are always ready to jump on opportunities that can rekindle our passion.
Many recruiters put stuff in as hurdles without knowing anything about what they're asking. Or worse, value a degree in underwater basket weaving over years of hands-on experience.
Pay rises vary across offices depending on many aspects such as inflation rate, geographical location, type of industry, and individual job performance. But there are times when workers feel dissatisfied with their paychecks.
Some people work in companies that they hate simply because they need money. However, if you are unhappy with your job, chances are you might quit or look for better opportunities.
Maybe I should become a bartender. I'm a people person and nobody seems to want to pay me to practise my actual profession I spent all that time getting a frigging Master's degree in.
Isn't it illegal in the US for bosses to say that you can't discuss your pay?
A toxic job culture can push employees out the door. You may experience burnout if you feel you are working a lot without being fairly paid as an overtime worker. In some cases superiors can be rude to their juniors, disrespecting them and their contributions.
When an employee feels devalued by their employer, they lose motivation for staying on the job.
And for some reason, these same people are against universal healthcare. The American HC system is a convoluted mess of private insurance companies, HMOs, and healthcare networks. It's broken and inefficient. A single payer mandate would save BILLIONS. Not just for patients but for EVERYONE.
Continue to use the facilities whenever you need to, and if they try and fire you for it, file a complaint with BOLI and the ACLU. And maybe call an employment attorney. No one, and I mean NO ONE, tells me when I can or cannot use the bathroom.
While on a job search, if individuals come across poor compensation packages, they may not even apply for the position. Can you imagine working at a place that forces you to work even when you are very sick? It’s off-putting when companies do not care about the well-being of an employee.
Fast forward to 2024 and they're forcing public schools to hang the 10 commandments in classrooms. Out of 10 commandments, there are exactly 3 that matter to the modern world. Thou shall not lie, Thou shall not kill, and Thou shall not commit adulatory. The other 7? I am the lord thy god, thou shall not have no gods before me, thou shall maintain the Sabath, ETC. A bunch of bronze age BS.
The way companies treat their workers, whether it is by giving more benefits, remote working options or creating more supportive working environments, requires reconsideration.
And these posts are examples of what a company should definitely avoid doing. Have you ever received a ridiculous job offer? Share this with your friends and colleagues so that they won’t forget they deserve good pay!
Decades of experience have convinced me that Boomers have no clue how money works.
I got a $0.25 raise this year which absolutely is not keeping pace with inflation. And then I walk into work and see the owner's new toy
I bet it’s posted right next to a sign complaining that no one wants to work anymore
Anyone who thinks liberals are ruled by their emotions clearly hasn't noticed all the screaming and yelling at Trump rallies.
American work value makes me sick
It’s so f**king gross that people applaud this shit. We shouldn’t have to do this. We shouldn’t have to because we’re broke, or because they’re short staffed, this isn’t okay. I’m so sick of society deep throating overwork.. instead of paying what people should be paid & prioritizing mental health & family s**t like this is applauded or like when I was a single mom and worked 3 full time jobs to stay afloat literally seeing my kids 15 min at a time in between naps and breaks. No THANK you.
I'm a skilled tradesman who is supposed to get a $3000 bonus at the end of the year for making the company $150,000 in profit, per my contract. I doubled it, which is supposed to increase my bonus. This is what I received. 100% done with this industry
Some 'men' literally think that we bleed and pee from the same hole🤣🤣🤣🤣
Load More Replies...OMG I never realised I could hold back my period! I’ll just do that now!
I've been trying to hold it back for 30 years since I first started menstruating at age 11! XD
Load More Replies...If you have to work overtime, be sure and use one of those 16 hour tampons.
Oh yeah, the toxic shock syndrome resistant tampons...
Load More Replies...If women could hold back their period, they would. Trust me, none of us choose to bleed and constantly be paranoid about leaks 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
And the sanitary products we have to use are really expensive
Load More Replies...As a nurse, I'd drop off a copy of the signs and symptoms of Toxic Shock Syndrome. It then becomes a choice for the manager. 1. Do you allow women the freedom of menstruating with dignity and taking a break when necessary. OR 2. You can deny a few breaks a shift to do 'girl things ' or you can wait till they're so sick that they'll miss months of treatment. (If they live that is. TSS can be fatal.
Erm I used to have to change mine at least once am hour due to heavy flow. Use only one per shift??? 😅😅😅😅 Medical advice is also not to keep one in for more than 4 hours due to the risk of toxic shock
It's amazing how much confusion there is about anatomy and physiology. When I was in school for becoming a Medical Assistant, I was floored by how many grown women's first attempt at placing a Foley catheter in the female dummy was to go straight for the vagina instead of the urethra...women in their 20s and 30s discovering that there were two separate holes there...so if females can be confused, and it's more common than you'd think, I guess I can get why guys can be confused about things too. This is what happens when you don't have Sex Ed in school.
I have no experience with this but I'm pretty sure it doesn't take too long to do that.
Idiot. A nice little visit or call to HR or corporate should take care of this.
How can grown men be so incredibly stupid? FYI guys? We don't pee out of our vaginas either. No, a woman does NOT have to have an orgasm in order to get pregnant (ex husband, 46, said the pregnant rape victim obvs enjoyed it. I got him a book aimed at 12 year old girls). Have you seen the size of a baby's head? Trust me, you're not hurting us.
As this is written, it’s BS. Add into that the fact that, when on a period, I had to pee literally every 20 minutes and we’re reaching a whole other level of b******t
One tampon doesn't hold for a full shift. Most people probably need to change at least twice during a shift.
A competing company is offering us 20 percent more to work for them. Management's response:
What do I think after reading all this? I think slavery wasn't abolished at all, it just received a new coat, that's all. Don't get me wrong, there are a number of things I like Americans for, but for heaven's sake, healthcare, social benefits and labour laws are beyond a joke. Not to be disparaging, but even Third-World countries offer women paid maternity leave! Honestly, sometimes I get the impression that the USA doesn't need any enemies at all: it's already rotting on the inside due to it's insane greed for money.
Makes me glad that I live in the UK where we have employment laws and the Tories have just been annihilated.
That's only temporary until Labour make a mess of things... :) I guess the trade-off for being able to be fired without notice or good reason is that one can quit on the same basis. The UK is definitely better though.
Load More Replies...I have a story. Where I work we have recently had international nurses/midwifery day, where they were treated to a BBQ. We had national admin professionals day where they were treated to dinner at a nice restaurant. We had international cleaners day where they got a BBQ. They even acknowledged Star Wars Day and all were mentioned in the newsletter that gets sent to thousands of staff across a few different hospitals. Well when world sterilisation day came along there was nothing. Absolutely Zilch, Nada, a big fat load of nothing. I guess it really isn't a job most people think about. You see the Drs, nurses, etc as they on the front line. We are behind the scenes cleaning and sterilising the medical equipment required for surgeries.
As an American, I appreciate that! There's a lot of good people here who are increasingly become scared and hopeless with the way things are, and more so the last few weeks. Unfortunately it's the loud, ridiculous morons who are seen the most of tv. We're not all gun owning bigots with the American flag on everything we wear. I don't pray, but if you do please pray for us when our elections come in November. Someone was inches away from ending that nightmare of a person yesterday

Nobody wants to work. That's the entire point of a free market: people don't want to provide goods and services, including labor, so they have to be offered adequate value (based on supply and demand) in exchange. (Not advocating for a true free market here - it is in fact a bad thing for people to starve because they are unable to produce what people are willing to pay for.) What these corporations want is to have a controlled economy where wages are kept artificially low.
It's pretty sad to read all these in part because these idiot managers are absolutely stupid about what pays off. Deny your employee an extra bathroom break, don't give raises, deny vacation time ... Then you lose good employees and it costs more to keep retraining and replacing them than if you just treated people well and they stuck around. When people feel appreciated they will usually work harder on their own and are far more productive. Instead you'll get employees trying to nickel and dime you right back who will leave as soon as they possibly can.
I have never wanted to work a single day in my life, I do so though because life is prohibitively expensive (at least here in the good ol us of a) I want to create I want to learn I want to love but between the stress of bills and unexpected life expenses and the fact that I have this sick compulsion to kill myself for a job in hopes that my hard work gets recognized and appreciated (fool me once shame on you fool me for 20+ years well... Shoot...)
This was really sad to read. I am glad that I have lived my life in Denmark where employers has to be reasonable, or deal with the unions.
I had the same c**p happen to me in the eighties, I was supposed to get profit sharing but it consisted of a 75 dollar check and a 25 cent per hour raise. A whopping 10 bucks! What a joke
Unionise or die. I will never work in a non unionised workforce again, its just not worth it.
Hahaha! Wish we could. Unionization is impossible in my and my husband's positions.

The CEO of Wells Fargo, Chainsaw Charlie, is laying off a total of 140,000 employees over 5 quarters. Every quarter he gets a $5 million dollar bonus. And fid you see the losses they just announced.
