Gypsy Rose Blanchard And Ex Ryan File Dual Restraining Order After Separation Over Food Hoarding
Gypsy Rose Blanchard separated from Ryan Anderson due to his alleged habit of food hoarding. A source close to Gypsy Rose told TMZ that the two “got into a major fight” after Ryan discovered that Gypsy Rose had cleared out their fridge, which was filled with several old food items that needed to be thrown away.

- Gypsy Rose's decision to clear out old their fridge sparked a major fight with Ryan.
- The two married in July 2022 while Gypsy was imprisoned for her role in her mother's murder.
The 32-year-old woman was reportedly “shaken” after realizing her decision had sparked such intense anger in her former partner.
Gypsy Rose wasn’t aware of this behavior until she moved with Ryan into their two-bedroom apartment following her release from prison. The Munchausen by proxy victim said the hoarding habit reminded her of her late mother, Dee Dee Blanchard.

Another factor contributing to their separation was Ryan’s snoring. According to TMZ, Gypsy Rose told her loved ones that her ex is “kind of a human furnace—running very hot at night,” while she prefers sleeping in a cold bed.
The pair tied the knot in July 2022 while Gypsy Rose was serving her eight-year sentence at Chillicothe Correctional Center in Ohio for her role in plotting her mother’s killing.
She and her then-boyfriend, Nicholas “Nick” Godejohn, conspired to kill her mom in 2015 after the woman had subjected Gypsy Rose to painful and needless medical procedures for years.
It’s believed that Gypsy Rose was a victim of Munchausen by proxy, a form of abuse in which a caretaker exaggerates or induces illness in a child for attention and sympathy.
She was granted parole and released from prison on December 28, 2023.
According to a source close to Gypsy Rose, it was Ryan’s habit of food hoarding that sparked their divorce

Ryan met Gypsy Rose after writing her a letter. As the 37-year-old told People, he decided to write to her after a colleague became interested in writing to “Tiger King” star Joseph Allen Maldonado, also known as Joe Exotic, in 2020.
“Tiger King was really popular at the time,” Ryan recalled. “I said, ‘I’ll tell you what. If you write him, I’ll write Gypsy Rose Blanchard.’ I never thought she’d be my wife.”
In March, the author of “Released: Conversations On The Eve Of Freedom” announced on Facebook that she would be separating from her husband.
“People have been asking what is going on in my life. Unfortunately my husband and I are going through a separation and I moved in with my parents home down the bayou.
“I have the support of my family and friends to help guide me through this. I am learning to listen to my heart. Right now, I need time to let myself find who I am,” Gypsy Rose wrote.
The 32-year-old also complained about her ex’s snoring

On April 8, the same day she filed for divorce, she also sought a restraining order against Ryan. Three days later, Ryan also filed for a restraining order against her.
A court ruling is scheduled for May 23, People reports.
Following the split, Gypsy Rose has been seen holding hands with her ex-fiancé, Ken Urker. The two even headed to a tattoo parlor to get matching tattoos of a husky.
Surprisingly, food hoarding and snoring aren’t the silliest reasons to file for divorce.
Responding to the question, “What is the most petty reason someone has gotten a divorce?” a Reddit user described that their ex split up from someone because of her grandmother’s astrological predictions.
As it turns out, the woman got a reading that said her third marriage would be the one that lasted, so she married and divorced twice quickly to get to the third man in her life.

Another user of the social media platform shared that a girl they knew initiated the divorce because her husband bought an Android phone.
“Her reasoning was that his old account was synced on their shared devices so she could see what he was up to, but now, with Android, he must be hiding something,” they wrote.

Can't the media just leave this young woman alone? She has been through enough, stop trying to make her a celebrity and let her live her life.
You got it a bit backwards: she likes the attention and volunteers her statements. She could just be living her life, she wants to be a media darling
Load More Replies...It’s none of our business why she is divorcing him. Is anyone really surprised? You think some creepy guy marrying a vulnerable, naive woman in prison was going to last?
We don't know just how bad his "intense anger" was. If she was genuinely afraid of him, then good on her for leaving at the first red flag instead of allowing herself to be abused.
She is displaying some codependent behaviour though, running out of one man's arms straight into the next. I guess she was sheltered in a lot of ways and has never navigated life independently but really, that is what she needs to learn to do. She also seems easily influenced, jumping into marriage before having real life experience with her partner. If she waited and spent significant time in his home or him hers, these issues would have become apparent.
