Google paid each week on-line from home over $4000+ simply by operating merely on-line. Last month I actually have got paid $19523 simply by operating four weeks on-line. Its simply wonderful and my earnings ar currently far better than regular nine to five workplace job. This job is simply outstanding. attempt currently to induce additional money on-line from the small print here...... http://bit.ly/2mgS6mW

I was thinking the same. Several years ago I accidentally (obvs) smashed the end of my finger off. OFF!! Yes. I know. Horrible. They sewed it back on and it looks fine if a teensy bit wonky but holy cow it was bad. Smashed. Off. The doctor said it was a burst fracture and that they may have to amputate the whole thing. Sorry about this anecdote but I just really wanted to tell people about it.

The fact is this all aluminum vessel can hardly do battle anywhere. It can hardly protect itself in a combat zone. Any weapons (usually anti-ship missiles) make it a prefered target for Anti-Ship Cruise Missiles . . . that will most likely sink it because the LCS defense mechanisms are not well suited to defend the vessel. To defend oneself from ASCMs is to have at least a two-layered defensive missile capability. The LCS has a single defensive missile (SeaRAM) which has a max range of five miles. A supersonic ASCM covers that distance in seconds.

Yeah, I'm with Steve on this. There aren't any battleships any more - the US decommissioned all of theirs decades ago, and none have been built anywhere since WW2. If this sounds like splitting hairs to you, do consider that it's kind of the same as calling a Porsche a type of articulated lorry.

They kind of smell when they blow through the blow hole but you can hear that exhale for a very long distance. Whales communicate there is no doubt. They also know we're there watching them. They're the best.

I had IVF done and the day they were going to insert 2 embryos inside my womb, my doctor showed me a foto of these two embryos. Right before she was about to take the photo away, I asked her if I could keep a copy of it. It was still a slim chance that these two little embryos were going to make it, however I still wanted that photo, so she gave it to me. It's 2 years from now and I'm a happy mother of two little twin girls. We have that photo framed and every time I see it I look at it and I turn and see these two little girls healthy as can be jumping up and down. It makes me realize how amazing life is and how blessed I am to be the mom of these two little healthy human beings.

So...what interests me is that people can accept this, that we humans can evolve into our current state from an embryo the size of a needle in 9 months, yet the some of the same folks don't believe we evolved over billions of years from single-called organisms. It's just interesting.

People rarely reach the top on their first climb. It's usually the 3rd or 4th attempt that's successful. This isn't something you randomly decide to do one summer, it's something you set as a goal early on and spend decades training for and achieving. Being able to put a flag, for yourself and for those who didn't make, is a lifetime achievement and a major point of pride. Most climbers, if they die on the mountain they would much rather stay on the mountain. They often dedicated their lives to Everest, so Everest being their grave when the mountain takes their life is considered the most appropriate thing to do. It's much like the dead of the Titanic and the Edmund Fitzgerald in the depths with the wrecks. To bring them away and bury them somewhere else would be wrong. The bodies are often covered with the flag of their country as a point of respect. All of you complaining about the garbage and the bodies, unless you've been there and tried for the peak, you don't know what you're so glibly insisting should be done. Or what it really takes to get to the top, and back down alive.

It's too dangerous for people to retrieve bodies. Some people have died attempting to retrieve bodies so they leave them be. It is also a fitting reminder to the people climbing up how risky it is. Even lingering a few minutes too long on top can mean death on the way back down.

Dear people those are not trash. Those are sacred Buddhist prayer flags and maybe some small amount of flags from various countries but let this picture not decieve you. To get to this peak is an arduous task that takes months and years of preparation and it is a spiritual experience... this flags are left up there with immense meaning. Yes, I'm from there and yes I my own people has been up there and I know what I am talking about. This place is littered with bodies and trash....

People, they are not trash, They are flags left by people who climbed the mountain. The trash is elsewhere. The trash is the used oxygen tanks and other stuff people leave on the mountain. You can be honestly say, that wouldn't leave a flag, if manages to climb Everest? They are not always the flag of your home country. There are flags your kids made for you to put there, flag for someone who died trying to get there... Just think about this for a little while. Think how hard it is. It's easy to say from home and without climbing the mountain, that "this is awfull" and "who dares to do that", but I know, I would totally leave a flag. Even though I think, the mountain doesn't belong to us, it doesn't really even belong the climbers. It belongs the local people, to who the mountain is sacret and the name of the mountain is "Holy mother". From that point of view, I think it's a bit sad, what happens on there. Not only the flags.

I found that out the hard way. When we bought our home, there were some overgrown round boxwoods along the foundation in the front yard. I decided to trim them back. Way back. I ended up with four spheres of brown sticks. I thought they would send out new foliage and look fine. Nope. Killed them deader than a hammer. Never trim them WAY back, just a little at a time! lol!

This is shocking, yes, but also tricky: what we're seeing here is the inner shaft of the Tower, around which the spiral staircase is wrapped. Since the Tower is actually a Belltower, it's logical that the inner shaft would be hollow. The monks were never supposed to climb all the way up just to ring the bells.

This is the inner schacht. The tower was not only built as a bell tower but also as a secret hideout for the clergy. In case of danger the schacht could be easily "filled" with wooden floors. That's what the little black stones at the wall (one can see here very good) are for...

Also how it looks before it turns brown, you run it over on the road, and one of its thorny seeds gives your tire a slow leak. -_- Tumbleweeds are horrible. I don't care how much you romanticize them, they're noxious weeds that crowd out native species.

We have three of those in our yard now. One with red and white flowers and one with blue flowers and one with burgundy flowers. Bee and hummingbird attractors. They are cut back for the winter but come spring, summer, and fall, we will have our veggie garden pollinated by the critters attracted by the multitude of FLOWERS and the critters will be fed! If I allowed them to die and dry up, they'd become tumbleweeds. Sage or Salvia plants. (Like sagebrush)

They're not AAA batteries. They're AAA A cells. A cell is individual and a battery is a group of cells so yes, it's not exactly surprising that a battery has cells since that's what it's made up of.

This is only one of many styles. There's dozens of different internal configurations to pick from depending on the performance characteristics you're after. A cheap $99 ball for instance just has a solid spherical core that's maybe slightly offset.

I used to make bowling balls (the Hammers) and the core looked nothing like this. Maybe technology has improved them ( I worked there in the late 80's). The ones we made had a ceramic core roughly 2/3rd that size. A couple of fun facts are 1) If you shoot a ball (pour the material the ball is made of) into a mold without a core, they essentially become potential bombs. A 2-part material is used to make the ball. When the material combines, it gets hot. Without the core to absorb that heat, the outside of the ball will cool while the inside continued to heat up. Sometime in the next 72 hours the ball could literally explode. And 2) bowling balls bounce. Just be careful if you try it as they can do real damage if they hit you.

Rental balls are usually made the same. Serious bowlers can have balls made with different cores depending on the spin they want to have.

The coloration is first, natural skin on the thighs (covered by shorts), highly sunburned skin on around the knees, and an obvious line where his socks cover his feet. And, yes, he needs massage and fluids every day to be able to start the next day.

random info : You'd think elite athletes are really healthy but actually they are just very , very good at one thing. ( ok count decathlon as one thing ) Most of them are very fragile health wise. That is why if someone has a common infection like a cold, they are quarantined from the elite athletes. And why at the big meets things like Infectious Mononucleosis can devastate an Olympic team .

Oh I would totally do that to myself.... Oh yeah... No pain, no gain. <3 In here I think, this doesn't even look that bad. He's probably a pro rider and this is probably not that big deel to him. I love cycling and hiking and the pain and the bruises and the "looking like this" and losing some toenails or whatever or making a hike to a mountain and actually crying the last kms because you're hurting so much.... And still be able to walk home yourself. That is something. It's amazing feeling to be able to do it. It's a battle inside your head. To know, you're gonna hurt later or maybe even during. And still continue and achieve your goal. When your head is screaming "this is insane, stop!" and you just keep on going... I cannot explain it, but to win that battle and be able to do something. That is amazing feeling. <3

When its "freshly" cut you meant to say. Correct? Having fresh cut anything is like having new mint money. People should know what cinnamon looks like. Just think of cinnamon sticks in mulled cider for example. It is bark. I always wonder how the first people discovered what plants were edible. If you have a few oops you may not be around to discover the good stuff. I used to think a person could know by watching other animals, especially birds if they ate it and were fine. But I've learned you can't count on it. Various animals can consume plants toxic to humans. Just like humans can eat foods like onions, grapes, and others toxic to dogs. A sad whoops story, how did someone discover the stem of rhubarb was edible but its leaves are poisonous? A fellow farmer my brother knew didn't know this. His wife processed lots of rhubarb to freeze. The husband tossed the leaves in the barnyard. Killed his ENTIRE herd of cattle. Bet they never touched that rhubarb to eat it.

50+ years ago they had a smaller solid core & were surrounded by a layer of wound-up rubber-bands. Used to love taking golf balls apart when I was a little kid. Poor dad always wondered why he was always missing so many .

The tough part is getting the slate leveled and, if you've got a 3 piece slate, getting the pieces of slates level with each other so the seam cannot be detected by rolling a ball over it slowly.

that type of cactus grows about 2 feet a year depending on where it's growing... i constantly have to cut mine down... compared to my santa fe and peruvian pear cactus, this is one of the faster growing types... plus, they can later on make another plant with that segment, and the original one will just grow more branches in weeks...

Most of the toothpaste is white, and then there are 'colour dispensers' near the nozzle of the tube... so when you squeeze it the tooth paste comes out striped. Like this 3702485.gif 3702485.gif In the picture, I guess they cut the very end of the tube off, where the toothpaste is already striped?

Fresnel lenses are quite an amazing development in optics dating back to the early 1820s. They can be massive like this one, almost certainly ground by hand on a machine or mass produced in plastic like those hand held magnifiers. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fresnel_lens

Remember Boris and Natasha from Bullwinkle, the two Russian spies? They were sometimes pictured with an iconic round bomb with a wick-style fuse. That's actually the earliest sort of hand thrown grenade, starting in the 1800s, just a round brittle cast iron ball filled with a powder charge -- cheap and reasonably effective. A blacksmith could make them. They became associated with anarchist terrorist assassins in the years leading up to World War I (many anarchists of the period were peaceful labor organizers, but no one remembers them). Because they were used to symbolize violent revolutionaries, they were still being used in the 50s and 60s in Mad Magazine and Bullwinkle as the iconic weapon of these hapless soviet spies trying to capture "moose and squirrel."

This really depends of a theater. One of my relatives works at a small movie theater and that theater does not have any speakers behind the screen. I once helped him to hang a new screen to the wall. But of course if the screen is huge like it makes sense to have speakers behind the screen also. :)

I was actually on the ride at Disneyland once when they had to stop the ride and turn on all the lights. This picture shows more of the outer edges....it was crazy how close the tracks ran! If you were to stand up in there while it was in motion, you'd DEFINITELY get killed. The best way to describe it is that it's like an intricate ball of metal track bent around itself.I was glad I had the opportunity to see it from that vantage point.

In northern parts (for example, I used to live in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada) where there is a lot of snow in the winter, fire hydrants are "taller" by which I mean that most of the black underneath the colourful part is above ground. They also sometimes add a very tall "flag" or extended arm of metal so the fire department can spot them through the snow.

Speaking of underground gas tanks at service stations. I heard that you should avoid getting gas while the truck is there filling these tanks. As they are filling the tanks, the gas being put in stirs up the contents that is resting at the bottom of the tank and then if you are pumping gas these are distributed in your gas tank. Just what I heard. Not sure if it's true.

When I was younger, I thought a gas station was just placed there because it had gas underneath the ground naturally. So when a gas station closes it was because they literally ran out of gas.

You spin the dark wheel (clockwise from this angle) and it scrapes against a flint at the bottom (possibly spring loaded like cheap lighters). The resulting spark ignited the butane soaked wick. The flame is extinguished by closing the lid

Actually, they come in different sizes from 1,000 to 20,000 gallons. This looks like a 10,000 gallon tank. Much bigger than 20,000 g. you're looking at an aboveground, not underground, storage tank.

Phasing, timings, inputs from roadway vehicle or video detection, emergency vehicle (fire trucks etc.) preemption. Signals in a coordinated system also have modems or fiber optic communication to operations centers where timings etc. can be revised remotely. Also, incident management in case an accident or event backs up traffic. Other stuff as well, could go on and on about their capability. Yes, I worked on these things as a transportation engineer in the traffic electrical unit.
