Someone who got voted down mentioned "China Girl". If you pay attention to the lyrics, you will understand that it's about the subjugation and annihilation of Asian cultures by Europeans. Similarly, if you listen to the lyris of "Fashion" carefully, you can see it's about political and social leanings. The US national anthem's melody is based on an English song, BTW. (Another fun fact: the melody of "My Country Tis of Thee" is the same as "God Save the Queen" which is taken from a Prussian song, "Heil dir im Siegerkranz", 'coincidentally' the British monarchy is an extension of various German monarchies. So WWI was nothing more than a family feud, using millions of people as pawns.)

The divers were using an underwater communication system and the captive male beluga imitated their order to get out of the water and the diver surfaced thinking it was real. He had learned to imitate the patterns and frequency's of human speech, after several years he stopped doing it. Belugas rock :) they also shout like children in the wild, and the bump on their head is used for echolocation and scientifically called its "Melon"

This is a good one. And nowadays, for people who can only wear a shoe on one foot, there are groups/stores who sell single shoes, while only able to wear for example the left shoe. They let others buy the right shoe and vice versa. At least I know this is a (small though) thing in my country.

According to Wikipedia this is a crater lake and "a pocket of magma lies beneath the lake and leaks carbon dioxide (CO2) into the water, changing it into carbonic acid." ..."over time the water becomes supersaturated, and if an event such as an earthquake or landslide occurs, large amounts of CO2 may suddenly come out of solution."

I'm not Christian and don't know every detail of the story but the fruit came from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil which God told Adam and Eve to eat from so it can be interpreted as both Good and Evil passed through Eve and went to her sons, Cain and Abel, as Cain later killed Abel.

Who the frack cares about his impact speed? He fell out of an airplane and survived, Jaysus! Go tell him that it's "his final velocity that matters, yawn." I'm sure those horrifying seconds will remain with him forever, I know they would with me. Imagine the fear of two chutes failing and what the ground would seem like as it was rushing towards you and you're thinking, I'm about to die!" According to whom? Is this an actual law? The problem I see with this is that you'd NEVER get the airline to admit that it was their action that caused the wait. They'd lie. Airlines will say and do anything to avoid responsibility. They'll never admit any wrongdoing. I was recently on a plane that the captain announced they had mechanical difficulties and the entire plane had to deplane and sleep on the floor of the airport overnight. The captain announced it! To the entire plane! The airline later said it wasn't their issue, that it was inclement weather. It was incredible. After a lot of back and forth I got my satisfaction but this is the way it is now.
