If You’re Tired Of All The Recent Negative News, These 46 Wholesome Pics Will Restore Your Faith In America
Former United States President John F. Kennedy once said, “Tolerance implies no lack of commitment to one's own beliefs. Rather it condemns the oppression or persecution of others.” Since the election the majority of U.S citizens feel that race relations have gotten worse. These poor race relations coincide with a record high in political divides, reaffirming the popular phrase that the U.S is now a nation divided.
It can all seem overwhelming at times, so stop and take a minute. Take a break from the bad news on your social media feeds, the political pundits, and hateful rhetoric. Bored Panda wants you to remember all the good things that still happen day to day and that we can all do a small part in bringing more tolerance. We have gathered a list of stories that show random acts of kindness people have shown to their fellow citizens, and we hope it will restore some faith you have in humanity. Scroll down below and don't forget to vote for your favorites!

To think, if all children were raised, as well as he has, what a wonderful world, we would have, Bless you Jack, and your family !!!
So important to reward kindness and unprompted generosity in our children, regardless of what is considered the reward. This will be a lasting experience, even if it's eventually forgotten what precisely happened.
I understand how he wants to help repair a building that has been damaged or vandalized, but don't do that with Muslims. They may show an attitude of respect, but deep down inside, want to do nothing but kill you.

Well we look at these pictures we should all realize that we all are capable of doing the samething everyday. You can lighten up peoples day with a simple smile, nice comment about what they are wearing or just helping a stranger with the door. When we have joy in our heart others (unfortunately not all) will return it but no matter you yourself will feel better also.

Man In Red Needed Help With Son's Math Homework And Got It From A Stranger On The Subway
So today on my way from work the guy in the red sat down opened up his folder and started reading. A few stops later the guy next to him sat down and asked him what he's studying: "You look a little confused maybe I can help?". He says his son failed a math test: "They're learning fractions so I'm just teaching myself this over again so I can help him I'm 42 & don't know any of this so I'm re teaching myself." The guy in the black informed him he use to be a math teacher so he asked the guy to quiz him and everything he got wrong or was confused about he broke it down and corrected him. By the end of my train ride the guy in the red had a better understanding. He can bring home a new method and teach his child. I really love seeing things like this especially in New York.

Here in southern Ohio folks wear the Confederate flag in order to DECLARE that they are racist (and frequently profess other bigotries as well). They will say it's to show pride in their Southern heritage, then spew racist viewpoints, then reassert that said racism is part of their Southern heritage. The Confederate flag might have had non-racist usage in some instances in the past, but if you're seeing it north of the Mason-Dixon Line today, it's frequently used as a declaration of hatred.

These make me so happy. There is a lot of hate in this world, and sometimes I forget to look at anything but the hate. It's so prominent everywhere I go, this is a wonderful change of pace. Thank you to whoever posted these.
People need to see these especially today with all that is happening out there with the shootings. June 2020 There is still a lot of good people out there. Cannot lose our faith in humanity.
Load More Replies...Exactly. The US doesn't own a monopoly on kindness.
Load More Replies...Treat people as individuals and judge them by their own character, not by a group identity. Don't blame other groups for your own poor life choices.
This happens all across the world, not only in America :) Good hearts are everywhere and they resotre faith in humanity.
I understand what you are saying but I think those of us in America needed a little reminder of kindness and empathy
Load More Replies...I don't think that was what was implied, just that with all the bad press America gets with everyone hating each other that there is another side.
Load More Replies...This made my day and restored my faith in the human nature!! I hope you have a wonderful life, you who posted this and you the one reading this too!
Solid proof that people CAN make a change! As long as we work together and help each other.
They don't forget. They don't care. media wants ratings/views. they want the most dramatic spectacular stuff. And that doesn't always equal things that are most important or have the most impact.
Maybe take the picture of Davonte Hart hugging the cop down? There’s good reason to believe that he was coerced into hugging the officer. His mom drove him off a cliff in California earlier this year. I’m just not sure that that picture is the best way to honor him.
Fact is, there are far more of these stories than the hateful ones. Unfortunately these stories of kindness don't generate enough ratings so hate is what the news gives us.
Thank you so much for posting these pictures and whoever is cutting up onions, enough already.
These make my heart smile. With all the vitriol and hate in the world, these are rare moments caught forever. In bad times, always look for the helpers.
We are NOT who we voted for. We are human beings with souls, regardless of the our gender, the color of our skin, our language, or our religion. If we can remember that, we will persevere, if not, we are lost.
What I like most is that race is hardly mentioned here. We are all just people, and it's great to see that people are people (Thanks Depeche Mode) without making any deal about race. Bravo.
This made my day :) Unfortunately, I'm also crying hysterically, I really didn't expect this at all, but I'm grateful. These acts of kindness are really what give meaning, what life should be about...
While I appreciate the simple beauty of all of this, let's not forget that we need to look to local, state, national and international policy, regulates, laws etc. that protect the rights of the individual and empower the poorest among us, In other words act locally, think globally.
We need more like this. People are people. Kindness counts in the grand scheme of things.
Awesome! They are all so inspiring I can’t chose a favorite. Thank you for sharing them. I feel encouraged about our country.
Exceptional post, there must be acts of kindness, we are unable to see, I am certain of it, unfortunately, of late the turmoil of racism, has us forgetting, there are good people, of all colors, kindness is all around us, it may not be visible, but just around the corner !!!
Mimi E. Everyone should scroll through these photos. It makes me feel so good.
These photos are beautiful! I feel so hopeful and much more happy and grateful. Thank you all!
I absolutely loved these! They just made my day! Thank you for putting a smile on my face!
People do judge me by my color. But, I’d rather smile and be happy then miserable and spread the anger. Keep smiling! It makes for a nicer day.
Great beautiful sample of real good every day people. Thanks
I've been wiping tears since like the 3rd picture. These pictures just prove that it's not over just yet, there's more work to be done but it begins with us. Hopefully it will turn around sooner than later.
These are wonderful heart wrenching stories. An example to all of how it could be if there was more humanity, less hatred and greed, and better understanding of each others needs. We are all on this planet together and not just in this pandemic together, and need to work together if we are to ultimately survive the unknowns ahead. We need each other. We must all get on and respect every person regardless of their nationality , colour or creed. We evolved from apes, developed intelligence and and must use it wisely and will only survive as a species if we act now to make our planet a better. For those with most of our financial resources I would say, spend it on making this world great instead of pretending we can live on other planets. This notion is idiotic to say the least. If there was the possibility of trips to those places only the ultra rich could avail.
Great!!!!! Thank you so much for this beautiful and inspiring compilation! 🐛💜🦋
I'm loving Bored Panda. We've been isolating at home for 3 months now, and we need to see people doing sweet things.
Thank you for sharing these fantastic photos! They helped to clear my mind of worries for a while. It was wonderful to get away! Thanks again.
I've been looking at videos of puppies to deal with anxiety of the past 2 weeks but this is even better. Just regular people being kind.
Thanks so much for whoever compiled these pictures, they are so needed right now.
Not faith in the USA (or America , as you refer to it) , but faith in all the people from the American Continent and everywhere in the wold. 😁
Not faith in USA, but faith in people, be it from the USA or from all the American Continent, and from everywhere in the world.
I truly believe there are more good people in the world than bad. We need to focus on good! 💜💜💜
I have high levels of anxiety, special agoraphobia and have been going through a depression cycle. I have no words, just not enough words to express my gratitude for the boredpanda .com team and the posts herein. It doesnt change instantly my heart, the mental confusion and emotional rollercoster dont just disappear, but for someone like my that oscilattes between panick attacks, uncontrolable emotional pain and occasional mental mess (to the point of not risking leaving the house for fear of forgetting to look sideways for cars or cooking for fear of forgetting the stove is on- trust me the struggle is real), your posts make me cry. This post made me cry- of joy; i havent been capable of crying even for sadness in a long while. The catharsis, the release that comes with crying is underestimated. THANK YOU with all my heart for bringing a bit of sunshine to my day. God bless you for this.
It's a shame our biased media who would rather report things that divide us refuse to report on stories like these!
Beautiful pictures. Made my eyes leak seeing the kindness of strangers.
DON'T make me CRY! I mean it! Why are so many Americans so damned nice and sweet and loving and....oh dear.....pass me a tissue...
I'm all choked up and teary eyed now. Why can't everyone be like this??
More of this please!! We're so divided right now, we need more reminders that it doesn't have to (and should not) be that way.
These have actually made me cry. In the soul crushing 24hr news cycle of incessant tRump I needed to be reminded that there are normal people out there doing decent things for other people everyday. Thanks BP.
Nothing unique for North- or South America, or Asia, Europe, Australia or Africa. It's called being human, what a tragedy if it was something unique!
only 5 pages...should have been more... the best way to understand sanity and love still exist
You people are very good at turning on the water works and making my mascara run.
These were all just so sweet, and very sad in a way. Wish we could see more of this in the news and less of the crazy and hateful. I wonder how much of it would stop if there was no notice taken of it? Although exposing the crazy and hateful for what it is can make a difference at times, too.
Um, i know that i'll be killed, but... has anybody noticed that all of this are just featured black and white people? I believe that solidarity should be global. Does black people support Asians and Mexicans too, or they only go for the whites? Sorry, but it feels a bit hypocritical. Black and white are not the only ethnicity that exist.
After this week of children being torn from parents arms and a walking cheeto claiming humanitarian victory by putting the entire family of asylum speakers in jail indefinitely I NEEDED THIS. WE ARE BETTER THAN OUR LEADERSHIP. I needed this post more than I can explain

Trump needs to go so we can get back to THIS America and make it even better!
i don't know how many times I've seen these. doesn't matter, I will take time out everytime. I am smiling like an idiot!!
These were wholesome, I'm so glad people like all of these exist and make the world a better place. Let's keep celebrating kindness :) a giant 'thank you' to all heroes out there!
Makes you easily forget, that DT is the current president. "You are no longer required."
Missing: the pictures of young children being ripped from their mother's arms. I'm sorry, but while these pictures are heartwarming, and remind us that there are decent people all over the world, this is not America.
There is enough oversaturation of bad news in the media to become a nihilist, so I understand your view point, and do believe it's justified to feel betrayed by the current political onslaught. However, the pictures, and what you stand for, "are also America". It is unhealthy for a critical mind to be exclusively be fed negative news about a country you live in 24/7. The U.S. has flaws and good stuff.
