We were lucky enough to get in touch with the creator and one of the moderators of this vibrant subreddit, nicknamed u/scaffelpike, who told us that what inspired its creation was her love for bright, colorful things.

Spider - Upvote! Unless it's those gruesome phantasies about killing an animal that has a plethora of reasons to fear us humans, or the animals we invite - Gina, recently, didn't even stop to just casually lick a spider of the wall, swallow her, and go on with cat duties -, but, like half of us are deadly afraid of them. Couldn't we be ... more accepting towards them? They walk on 8 independently controllable boners! Their brain extends into the first limb of every of their legs. They never eat, only always drink. They make webs. They rid you of bugs and potentially harmful infections by mosquitoes, who are the only animal that I don't even try to catch unharmed - I freeze them, they die, and I send them to an institution that keeps track of species and infections, date and location provided, of course. I just sent a collection from Feb through May to them the other day, ... but, yet to see any tiger mosqito. Not here yet? Outnumbered, still? I'm the odd sample? Dunno, but I like spiders. Let them live, they do you no wrong!
