Do you know what a comic really needs in order to be good? No, not fancy format, trendy topics, or beautiful drawing style. All they have to be is fun to read. If you can at least do that, the rest is not so important. Heck, you can even make your comics on Post-It notes.
Clint Loonier proves this with his East Coast It Notes, which are made on, you guessed it, Post-It notes. Despite the lack of aesthetics, the poor readability and small following, these comics have what most comics lack: they're funny. And that's all we really need from comics sometimes, so they'll squeeze out a laugh from us.
