This Woman Tries To Bring Stability Into Her Life By Creating A Quarantine Routine, People Follow Her Example
It seems like these days, the whole world is worrying about the uncertainty brought to us by the pandemic. It’s not hard to notice how the crisis is affecting the mental health of many of us. Quarantine is not helping with that, either. Being forced to stay inside, away from our friends and even family members with our everyday routines completely changed, the current condition of the situation starts to take a toll on many of us. While some of us cope better than others, it’s always nice to see people sharing what has helped them in hopes of providing some guidance for those who are struggling. Recently, Twitter user @plntbasedcutie went viral for sharing a simple solution that helps her to cope—making a quarantine-inspired daily routine.

Her list of daily activities, titled Quarantine Routine, received over half a million likes and over 80k retweets. Even though @plntbasedcutie has a tougher time keeping herself occupied, since both her school and her work are shut down, she’s using the time to her own advantage. The list includes hobbies, self-care activities, chores, and, of course, fun things to do.

However, she understands that not everyone who reads her list is capable of being productive during a time like this, so she advises taking it easy, relaxing, and not feeling guilty about it.Clearly, people were inspired by her simple, yet smart way to stay productive, so some of them even decided to follow her example. People have started sharing their own Quaroutines with varying degrees of difficulty. Some created elaborate lists, while others decided to show the most realistic representations of their life by enumerating sleeping as their only task.

Share on FacebookSo far my routine is to pace, cry, and worry myself sick over my dad who's on a ventilator in "isolation ICU" about an hour and a half away with bacterial pneumonia and a new-found tumor affecting one lung. I'm terrified he's going to pass away. He's my last parent and I'm immunocompromised with COPD/chronic bronchitis so I have to self-isolate instead of risking driving that far and catching/carrying in something at his hospital. This is hell for me - rest, much less sleep, is naught but a dream. This stress, fear, and desperation is horrible, so there's no chance for a schedule to even take form.
I am so sorry to hear this. You do whatever you have to do to make it through. I will be keeping you in my prayers. I'm sending you a hug.

Eat breakfast, lunch and dinner in between, go for a run, shower. Yes, home office does not include meditating and doing nothing. It includes working from home.
Kids need routine even more than grownups do. I wouldn't stick to any sort of rigid routine if it weren't for my 4 year old. But she needs it and she needs to stay sane.
