Artist Burns Wood To Make Extremely Realistic Portraits Of Celebrities And Cultural Icons On Them (41 Pics)
I've heard someone say that one needs a little bit of flame to start a creative fire, but the type of art that you're about to see here needs it even a little bit more. The type of art in question is called pyrography, and it's basically like drawing by burning wood. Naturally, it was used to etch a certain word, but some artists like Ivan Djuric became so adept that he can even make a completely realistic portrait out of it.
And portraits he has made. While most are commissioned custom works, he also specializes in celebrities and cultural icons too. Combined with the unusual medium, it makes for a very hot piece of art.
