The perpetrators of this cruelty should 1) be forced to pay for all the costs involved in rescuing this dog. 2) get a large amount of therapy that the parents will pay for. 3) be banned from owning any pets or getting within 10 feet of a domestic animal for the next 10 years. 4) do community service. This would be the minimum to see if these sociopaths in the making can be redeemed.

I remember crying because boys were smashing worms. They were laughing while doing it - we were all around 6 or 7. I do think many children are somewhat sociopathic until they actually learn empathy. I'm not convinced empathy is something that comes naturally for everybody. And some never learn.

I saw a similar act when i was a kid, my friends were bullying with a cat trapped in the corner, i hardly managed to back them off but i was small and couldn't protect the cat forever, a few days later i saw him hanging from the tree in the backyard of a kindergarden. I don't think it is about kids, it is obviously their parent's fault. Because it was my parent's who made sure i am not like them.

I had apartment in Turkey for while. The level of cruelty to animals astounded and sickened me - dogs with tails and ears hacked off - by kids, cats treated even worse. Every so often local council round up strays - and poison them. As so many British lived out there then they slowly showed the brutish Turks they didn't approve, or condone, their treatment of animals. A very brave lady, Gill, set up Animal Rescue Centre in my area - and Brits supported 100% with table-top sales to raise funds to help strays. This absolutely appalling, senseless act of cruelty only goes to illustrate further how barbaric, uneducated and detestable the Turks are. They TEACH their kids to be cruel: one day at cafe with friend, ginger cat laying, tummy up, vile mother of a child said (in Turkish) "jump on it's belly." Kid did so. I was furious, told vile kid off. Was nearly lynched but defended cat. The Turks are a vile, cruel, barbaric race. Cruelty to animals - main reason so many Brits sold up.

in our sad and sorry world respect is not always taught , and with a gang of kids they become like a pack and edge each other on. I hope one of them lets slip one day what they did and the parents have enough guts to report it, then send them to a rescue centre for a week or so of there holidays. wake up calls needed
