I had a male cat years ago did that with some rescue kittens I had - until they were almost a year old - they were too feral to rehome.

Not Siamese but Ragdoll cats. The one on the left doesn't look like she belongs to the family, as she's still a juvenile (her colouring hasn't developed yet, the end result will be as on the right). Or someone bred an awfully young cat.

That is actually really common if two or more females in the same colony have kittens around the same time. It has been observer ed scientifically in feral colonies and in small scale breeding operations where the breeder let's the kitties have the run of the house .

This was in a boys monastery. I counted eleven kittens in different sizes, from a small handfull to teenager. Mom seemed very happy with all of her offspring still living at home, it was a gorgeous mass of purrrr!

Kittens are incredibly cute. I'm a cat person and I've hand-raised a few. Best advice, get the cats fixed as soon as possible. Especially if your cat goes outdoors.

A better invitation would be to have people submit pictures of the cats that they have adopted that have been spayed or neutered. This is a poor promotion when there are too many cats being killed each day because there are more born than there are people who will care for them.

The only things that stop me from going out and adopting every stray kitten I can find are lakamoney and old age (mine). However, I am a huge proponent of TNR of all stray cats, as well as would encourage people who have cats to be sure to spay/neuter them. In shelters here in the United States, there are more than 100,000 cats euthanized that have been tracked, and who knows how many more that have never been counted. Please people, if you can't afford to keep your cat AND her litter, please spay her. And if you have a male kitty, he really needs to be neutered unless you are professionally breeding show cats.

I can stare at this forever! And will you people STOP with the "why you didnt SPAY your cat" c**p?! How are cats supposed to survive as a species if you neuter all of them?! If the humans can afford to have kittens, why shouldn't they? There should be more cats in this world! Free kitty for everyone!

Tell that to the thousands of unwanted cats in shelters, and millions of feral kittens that suffer from diseases and starvation. Ask anyone working in cat rescue, and they'll agree - TNR! Also, cats are very susceptible to ovarian cancer, and breast cancer. Spaying prevents that. And cats can get feline leukemia through sexual contact. Until we can invent kitty condoms and teach cats to use them spaying/neutering is the safest option.
