This Photographer Keeps Surprising The Internet With The Backstage Of His Photos
Have you ever wondered how long does it take for a professional photographer prepare a picture for a "public eye"? What are the steps that need to be taken before publishing that final, satisfying result? Everything‘s not so easy, and Brazilian photographer Gilmar Silva decided to prove it (previously here).
A while ago, this professional wedding and family photographer started a brilliant behind-the-scenes series, that he called LUGARxPHOTO ("place and photo"), that shows the backstage of professional photoshoots. First picture always shows the "working environment" of the photographer, and the second one reveals the final result which is sometimes hard to believe. The aim of the project is to talk not only about the amount of Photoshop that comes into play, but also to analyze the right angles and techniques that are used to get those perfect shots. Scroll down to see them for yourself!

This photographer and me has one thing which is not common! Sheer pure Talent!
Can this guy just follow me around and do all my Insta posts from now on?
if had not known I would have thought these balloons were photo shopped or just helium balloons flying away!
Dang, who else thought that it was going to be a pic of Hot Girl in Bikini!
I love this one too. How does he make pregnant women look so beautiful?? I was miserable for most of my pregnancy, and I hated the way I looked. But all of these pregnant women and some of the pregnant women I see IRL look so beautiful
She looks so unimpressed in the after photo... I would be too i bet that water is cold!
His ability to find extra-ordinary settings in totally normal places is fantastic!
Looks like shes sliding down the steps! Some of these are a little weird, but I can't take away from his vision and creativity.
She's thinking "Please don't let there be a big breeze to blow these petals away"
Every time I scrolled down to a new set, In my head I kept saying, Lugar...Foto
Shows why professional photographers earn so much - they really can extract beauty from the most ordinary settings
I see there's a work behind it and I congratulate the photographer for it. However, I find most of them are too similar among them, and their style gets cheesier and cheesier...
@Miss Cris I thougt I was the only one, I'm really not a fan of these photos, so cheesy but I guess they like different stuff in South America
Load More Replies...I know alot of it is photo-manipultion - but remember all the great painters manipulated paint
It's mostly creative lighting... and some good color adjustments.
Load More Replies...These are beautiful- I love the photographer's style and want a closet full of the dresses from the photos please!
The photos are nice but I find they are Photoshopped/edited way too much for my liking.
Most people think of these posts in a negative way, saying that photographers are fake and their talent is not from photography but editing later but I think this just shows how creative and talented photographers really are. They come up with so many unusual ways to make their photographs amazing and then touch it up on their laptops afterwards.
What I see is a creative mind at work. Yes, reflections and light and low angles make for a fabulous photo. That tidepool? The wagon? The exit wall at the train ride at the zoo (or whatever it was)? It takes a creative mind to see the possibilities. Kudos!
What a great eye and a great use of his lenses. I think people underestimate the capabilities of lenses.
Love his work :) That's one great photographer who understands environment and how to use it combined with light and other effects. Delight to see!
I liked these a lot. Interesting to see how the photos were set up.
What does Lugar mean? It obviously is something to do with setup, but I'm curious the official translation.
Lugar = Place, the first photo is the place it was taken, the second is the actual photo taken.
Load More Replies...It'd be cool to see the in-between frame of the final photo but before photoshop. I'm actually not quite sure how much was used here.
Can someone explain the pregnancy photo shoots of the flowy dress? It’s pretty, but I don’t really get it?
I don't really get pregnancy photos at all, I mean you can take photos to remember it afterwards (who wants to though?!) but why take cheesy ones. I'm not planning on having any kids so I guess I don't get it..

Meh. Some are great shots indeed but most of them are edited to hell with cheap Photoshop tricks.
I want to lern Photoshop today.😋But how I gonna learn talent? 🤔😝 Love the work, very beautiful pictures.
What an artist! To be able to see in the ordinary a way to be extraordinary is a gift.
