I'm seriously getting tired of this c**p. Everyone getting all offended for no damn reason "omg they picked white color, white supremacists! They hate blacks!" You can't do or say anything with white lately because you're instantly a racists who thinks "white" is more superior or whatever... Really have to think on what you say or do these days because there will always be someone offended by it, even if you're trying to do good -_-

If you combine all the rainbow colors, it makes white. No problem with that. Or maybe the light spectrum is racist, who knows ? I guess they wanted to represent unification. There's no reason to be offended.

To me, white is more a representation to the lack of color. Plus, wouldn't it be a lot more artificial coloring to make black skittles? Just a thought. I don't eat skittles much anyway. I really think the thought behind this was in the right place.

People will always find something to complain about - it's not even about racism guys - it's about PRIDE month. Skittles are just supporting that not being racist... agree with Laury, you might as well complain about paper being white normally... and I might as well complain that at night the sky is black and that must mean mother nature is probably racist too...

a) They do not have a black base coat because psychologically you are less likely to eat it. b) White people are not actually white, and black people are not actually black. c) Racism is institutional bias designed to prevent a race from having equal rights or opportunities- different from racial prejudiced. d) Racism is not just a black problem. e) We should be able to use colors without it being assumed it is about race. f) we should be able to talk about the race issue without pointing fingers and calling each other racist. If someone says something or does something GENUINELY racist- please call them out. But a white person can dislike a black person without it being a race issue, and vice versa.

I am offended by offended people.

The idea of "colorless" Skittles to explain pride is not intellectually challenging, and the company explained the rationale quite clearly. Anyone who cracks an intro physics text and reads up on "white" light/color spectra will understand. Holy smokes, there is something really wrong with some people.
