Internet Is Laughing Out Loud At 23-Year-Old Hidden Message This Couple Finds While Renovating Their House
Alex and Jess Monney, a couple from California, were renovating their bathroom recently when they made a quite wonderful discovery. While the places that we call home feel to us as they are ours and ours alone, sometimes we get a reminder that quite often, many other people have also inhabited the same space and likely had just as strong a connection.
This was the case when the couple found, hidden inside the bathroom wall, a cheeky note from Mr. and Mrs. Shinseki, previous owners of the house. Along with a cute photo of themselves, the Shinsekis just wanted to know, what was wrong with the way they had modeled the bathroom? The tongue-in-cheek time capsule also included a picture of the rabbit the Shinsekis owned, with “I’m potty-trained” reassuringly written alongside.
After sharing the discovery on Twitter, Alex and Jess’s story quickly went viral and inspired others to share their own bizarre remnants of previous homeowners. As well as this, unanswered questions needed to be answered such as: Who are the Shinsekis and where are they now? Is their rabbit still alive? As of now, the hive mind of the internet is still trying to solve these particular mysteries, time will tell if the answers are found!
Scroll down below to check out the note for yourself, and let us know what you think in the comments!
Meet Alex and Jess Monney, from Bay Area, California. They were renovating their bathroom recently and got a surprise
The previous owners sneakily left them a message!
And they even included a message from their family pet!
Now they’ve been trying to find the previous owners to give them this message:
Their bathroom remodel is looking amazing, btw
Other people started sharing their own similar finds too:

Not everything people found was cute notes though:
Someone’s grandpa left this puzzling message:

Have you found anything hidden in your walls? Leave a comment below!
When i left my abusive ex partner - i took out every drawer in the house and wrote a big message in black marker on the underside - then put them back - a warning for his next GF - dont know if he found them yet - 8 yrs ago - lol
My father wrote a message on the wall every time he changed the wallpaper "My wife forced me to change the wallpaper ..AGAIN!".... with month and year, so he had a proof when my mother wanted to change two years later again....
My dad remodeled his kitchen and nailed his thumb to the wall. Left a note and a dollar. "Nailed thumb here, re doing the damn kitchen. Here's a dollar for luck that you dont do the same".
I hope you mean "hammered his thumb," otherwise that's a hell of a screw up and incredibly more painful.

Back to 1984 my family got a state flat in the building constructed by soldier. The Soviet Union used conscripted soldiers with mental or disciplinary problems and sent them to the so called Building Batallions. They rarely seen any weapons but they served 24 months bulding stuff for the great motherland, it was slavery sort of, as they never got any pay except for petty money for cigaretts. I found a carved piece in the window where one of the slaves put his name, number of unit and demobilisation year, 1984. Creepy, right?
The house I grew up in (which we sold/left in '84) was just purchased from the people that bought it from us...took a tour the first day it was on the market and saw my initials/message from our last day there was still standing in the garage (right under the initials/message left from the owners before us).
I love this idea... I found a message on the bath tub at my house : "Posée séptembre 1938"
Load More Replies...When a contractor was re-plumbing my bathroom in 2014 I stashed a plastic bag in the wall with newspapers from 2010, 2012, and 2016 celebrating the SF Giants' World Series wins. I put silica grains in the bags to keep them from getting moldy and a note describing the changes I've seen during my residency since 1982. I have found newspapers in the building's walls from 1927 and 1964 and hope my 'time capsules' are likewise discovered in some distant era.
In our last house, when we left we hid five $20 bills, a few small bags of coins, and a cryptic map of the house and the forest behind our back yard. We hope the new owners have fun digging for the "mystery" treasure (the mystery being there is no treasure).
no treasure ? hope you left abox with a note to that effect !

My ex-husband was practicing drawing his pistol in the bathroom and shot a hole through the bathroom mirror into the wall. Before replacing the mirror, I wrote," this is what happens when dumbasses play with guns."
I lived in a 1930s apartment before 2004 and the mirror was set in a recess in the wall and fixed with a rubber washer all around, so one day, out of curiosity, I took it out - someone had written "The truth is out there" in 3 inch letters...
my sister in law was redecorating her livingroom, it took a while before it was finished, and in between she let all the guests make art and write on the walls untill it was completely covered!
Very jealous of the people who found nice surprises. A couple of days ago my wife and I tore down the insulation in our basement and found two empty bottles of blackberry brandy and a can of contraceptive spray, which I didn't even know existed.
Remodeled a closet and found a 1963 Falls City beer can sitting in the wall--had the ROUND hole on the top. Some workman's lunch beverage.
When my husband rebuilt our front porch in 2005, I left a time capsule underneath before he replaced the floor. In a Mason jar, I left the A section of the local newspaper from 5/05/05, a picture of who lived there, and a note that ended with "Did you guys ever get that stadium thing figured out?" figuring there would be at least one stadium thing going on whenever it's found. Thanks for reminding me!
Hidden in a wall of a room we built, we left a small bible with a picture of our family for someone to find. We also said a prayer for our family, and any future family, that makes memories there.
We rebuilt our family's beach house that was built in 1924. It had been repaired countless times because of storm damage, but an earthquake caused foundation damage. When we opened up the walls, we found a bank deposit book that belonged to the original builder/owner, with a $200 entry, and nothing more!
When I removed the upstairs medicine cabinet to refinish it (because new ones don't fit due to changes in construction standards) F*** You was carved into the wall board. Presumably by the builders of my tract home.
I really wonder if they will ever find that thing hid. In the basement where once i lived. I did a good job on the bricks and mortar. I used quite a bit of lye, well kinda sorta. Hopefully no one will ever uncover, that thing I hid that one summer.
I'm REALLY nosy.. I searched f**ebook and it looks like Wayne Shinseki to me.
We found photo albums with a young boy in them. My house is also haunted by a young boy, not sure if it's the same kiddo. He was just young. Lots of his things have been found in our vents and walls as we've renovated.
The new bathroom does NOT look amazing. It just looks new. It is all white, industrial-looking and will quickly start to look not so new due to all the white. To each their own (but then let's not make blanket statements like that).
