Working with animals I can tell you, this doesn't happen to EVERY animal. It's done shortly before the due date, usually just the one time, to get a baby count. Some animals have issues birthing and a baby or two won't come out. Knowing the count beforehand avoids a situation where they get left in, die, and start to rot inside the mother causing sepsis and other issues. Knowing there's 5 babies and only 4 came out tells the doctor to either try to reach for it and assist birth it, or to do a c section. Household animals lose many instincts they're supposed to have and require more human help than farm or wild animals. The levels are incredibly different from humans as well, they're not nearly as high. Also, if a doctor deems an xray as medically necessary, they will give a woman one, but take extra precautions to protect mom. It's the same for animals as well. They don't just give them w***y nilly for the fun of it.

I noticed that too. I am fascinated by x-rays and ultrasounds and I saw that and was like the dog is literally pooping while having this done-it's right there in x-ray.I mean right there
