I physically don't understand the actual construction of this.... I don't know what push pins are, or what you attached them to? Is there a tree underneath or is it all lights? I'm so curious because I love it! X

A push pin is sort of like a nail but with a colorful plastic tip that protrudes from the wall once you push it into place. So she pushed in all the pins in the shape of a tree I assume and then used string lights and basically played connect the dots with the them between all her push pins.

That's what happens when you listen to a random person in the background... Hen and chickens is not wrong, but spider plant would have been the better choice. Here, these plants are called "Grünlilie" (green lily).

Why is this gross? They sell these in every other shop in Florida. I used to live there! I like it, just needs a few more ornaments and more color. That is one huge starfish though :)

If these are real and were purchased, it's gross because that means this starfish and sand dollars were harvested from the sea while alive, and then left out of the water to dry to death just so someone could use them to decorate with. Neither have shells, so these aren't shells. Sand dollars and starfish are both soft-bodied, shell-less sea life. So, it is kind of gross and cruel IMO.

Nothing wrong here. Our Florida beach is full of sand dollars. Roads are built of crashed shells with these in them. No more gross than food on your table. Dead plants and animals.

Viewing from the top down, it starts off sweet but then does that creepy snake thing mid-way down; snakes frighten me. Scared the bejeezus out of me as that sweetness "set me up" and I had no forewarning, lol. Just speaking what happened to me, but I think it was a clever idea. Thank you for giving me a two minute story to share with family over the egg nog.
