Artist’s Painting Gets Mistaken For A Van Gogh, So She Creates Brilliant ‘Starry Night’ Series
One accident inspired painter Aja Kusick to create a wonderful series that mashes up pop culture elements with expressive van Gogh's style.
Everything started when an education blog mistakenly shared Aja's painting of the Eiffel Tower as Van Gogh's. However, the Eiffel Tower was completed in 1889 and Van Gogh died in 1890, having spent his last years in the south of France, so it's very unlikely that he even saw the iconic tower.
Kusick decided to take this further and have fun out of the situation; she asked herself "What else did Van Gogh not see?" Thus, the "Van Gogh Never" series was born. From Snoopy, relaxing under the swirling sky to an even more colorful and vibrant Super Mario world. All of these paintings are available on Aja's Etsy shop in multiple dimensions, starting from a $8 5x5 inch one.

I know, I know everyone's a critic: The artist is quite skilled and dedicated to making beautiful works My personal opinion (and it is worth what you're paying me for it) is that it is a little too flat and garish. Van Gogh used subtler colors and softness. ' Still is is a wonderful idea and it is very colorful Thanks for brightening my day
They may be garish in comparison to the original, but given the subject matter in her art, comic and pop culture, I find it somewhat fitting.

Just changing out icons in the same scene. 😴 Stop giving her credit for someone else's idea. If she made an effort to change it up. I might call it art. Now days everything is considered art. Just check out the c**p museum in LA.
Van Gogh??? Oh Please, these works are complete c**p art and a waste of good art materials. Hope the creative one doesn't give up the day job.
Personally I'm a big fan of Van Gogh and the artist is like a remake of him, the colours blend together perfectly and just add a unique style to starry night
