In the series “Poéticas do Efêmero”, the Brazilian photographer Thais Andressa seeks inspiration in the daily life and in the poems of Fernando Pessoa and Cecília Meireles, seeking a dialogue between literature and photography, as well as a reflective vision.
“Photography is my way of interpreting the world, giving vent to my dreams and enhancing my voice. We live in a time when everything requires haste, and there is no time for contemplation. Appearance is valued, but the essence and poetics that are present are forgotten. Exploring a narrative based on shadows and reflections, the series expresses the transience, and the representation of a parallel and magical universe. These are scenes present in our daily lives, but which often go unnoticed, and which aim to lead to reflection on the passage of time, the brevity of life and the need for contemplation. What remains after the passing of the years, the marks left and the stories built? What is the relationship between man and the space he inhabits? ”
